A more cohesive timeline generally, just look to Young Justice on it’s moving Timeline.

The other media is NOT scared of developing character.

Video media has an easier time conveying a character's personality. That's not to say comics can't do it, but not as economically.

A more streamlined history for most TV shows.
Taking the best elements of the comics and weeding out the crap. (Smallville, most of the Arrow-verse shows, Stargirl, YJ, Nolan movies)
Second and third tier characters getting a public appearance they wouldn't get in the comics.Assassinate Putin!

Circe's simplified motivation for being an enemy of Wonder Woman in JLU.
About the only positive contribution the DCAU made to Wonder Woman.
