I have always imagined this song being sung by Steve Trevor (with tweaked lyrics, obviously). It may be too on the nose, but I always hoped that the second Wonder Woman 1984 trailer would feature this classic.

Where the badass women gone and where are all the gods?
Where's my angel gonna be to fight the rising odds?
Isn't there a wondrous savior on a fiery steed?
Late at night I toss and I turn and I see her in my dreams
    I need a hero!!

They used it on the trailer for the new he man show and i loved it.

I remember there was a rumor that Dua Lipa and Madonna were going to record a song for WW84 movie. It would have been fantastic.

I distinctly remember that rumor and I HATE that it was just that.

This song also reminds me of Diana:

Oh yeah, you're right, also in the Finch's run, was like canon in the New 52 that she like partying.

For scenes of Diana flying off to the rescue or to confront an enemy in the George Perez and Phil Jimenez Wonder Woman runs, there's no more evocative theme for high-stakes rescue, than ..Madonna's Ray Of Light.

It's nice that so many people enjoyed this idea.

This song reminds me a lot of Themyscira. I think it's something Diana would listen to when thinking of home.

I always related Madonna with Wonder Woman, by the way in one of his singles' cover she used an image of her (Lynda Carter to be more precise)

You know what??? I am a huge fan of eighties pop culture, and as long as I can remember, I have always seen Madonna as the Wonder Woman to Michael Jackson's Superman and Prince's Batman. Those three superstars were indeed the Trinity of eighties pop music. No other vocalists were as iconic, influential, and legendary as the Queen of Pop, the King of Pop, and His Royal Badness. Sometimes, I still think of Wonder Woman as an analogue for Madonna.
