    Default Hey DC Comics...

... why are you idiots soo obsessed with taking the cape and cowl away from Bruce?

I enjoyed the KnightFall story line, I enjoyed the Prodigal arc, I even liked RIP.

But seriously, come on now, I mean REALLY? Why Can't BRUCE BE BATMAN.

Have ALL the storylines, arcs, whatevers' been thought up? I beg to differ!

I'd like to see some discussion on this. Now, if you all like this current run/arc/storyline
that DC is doing, so be it, we all have our own opinions, as I do mine. This is still the U.S.
and it's still a free country... well so far. Anyway, what are some of you guys' thoughts, please?

Yep, Bruce will always be Batman.
Just like Clark will always be Superman.

I mean just for brief periods this will be played with by writers.
But the story will always return to Bruce in the end.

It's not even being played with right now. Jace Fox is Batman and Jon Kent is Superman. Whoa, crazy! And Bruce and Clark still have two books coming out every month that you can read. Nothing to whine about.

    Hey DC Comics...

When does Superboy-Prime come back? Make him Superman, he's better than these other loser characters.

3 or 4 times in 80 years it's actually not that much.
DC: Dick Grayson, Wally West, Donna Troy, Yara Flor, Titans

Some of my favorite Mangas: One Piece, Slam Dunk, Fullmetal Alchemist, HunterXHunter, Vinland Saga, Monster, Berserk, Vagabond.
Current reading: Jujutsu Kaisen, Chainsaw Man, Spy X Family, Kaiju Nș8, Blue Lock, Dandadan.

This is because Jace is becoming Batman isn't it
    While Bruce is still Batman
Honestly they don't even have the decency to properly take away the cape and cowl anymore if he's still wearing it

I get your point and I see the idea of the thread, but there can be a conversation that isn't so charged.

But in mythic storytelling there is always a point to take away everything from the hero and lay them low so we can see them rise.

It's a form of catharsis, that's why in movies when the protagonist loses their position by some hotshot it's a fistpump moment when the hero makes a triumphant return.

This has happened and will continue to happen, it is a story trope that is very common to human storytelling.

They have no point. Nothing is being taken away from Bruce. Except for his money, but he's still a millionaire. Ha! Am I supposed to feel sad for him now? Then Nightwing becomes a billionaire. It's gonna be so obvious when Alfred left another billion for Bruce.

He does have a point since there have been times when Bruce was replaced and wasn't sharing the role [The two examples he cited for eg]

You might not agree with his point and this current new person as Batman might not be but he still has a point. A topic for discussion which others might want to discuss.

No need to ridicule or shut the poster so quick that they literally peace out minutes after he started the thread.

This should be a welcoming place but i don't think @ Batman 1970 is feeling very welcome right now. smh.

He made this thread to complain about something that didn't happen. Seemed clear to me he thought Bruce was gonna retire or something. He didn't know, now he does, we can all move on and stick to reading Detective Comics by Mariko Tamaki.
