I am not too sure about that.
And i'm going to be honest. This past week i have beem bombed by a lot of scans showing WW. Struggling with Aquaman, Mera, ra ghul, Slade, lifting planes, etc. I am too tired of this character being so inconsistent. I can no longer enjoy her stories because of how inconsistent she has become.
This is very clearly telegraphed as not being the real Steve and is part of whatever illusions she's trapped in. It'd be neat if this was Dr. Psycho and it was a callback to Captain Wonder.
Some of the things in this series seem concerning, but this one isn't even a blip on the radar. At least not yet.
I’m down for seeing Steve used in a WW comic—even if it is an illusion. I miss him.
But, wow, is it just me or does it seem like we get a lot of “Wonder Woman doesn’t know how she wound up in fill-in-the-blank” type stories?
“You see…the rest of them are soldiers. But [Wonder Woman] is an artist.”
I only support the made of clay origin.

Thank you for the sugestion.
Actually there are plenty of characters nowadays more consistent than current Wonder Woman. That is the problem. Comics in general do hav inconsistent moments. But current WW is one of the most inconsistent and i can't think of any reason other than lazyness. Her power level is all over the place.
Aquaman is current WW. She has fought him multiple times. There was a Mera fight in Rebirth. She struggled twith a plane in gww, and to lift the watchtower with Superman etc. If you mean if she did any of this this year no. But all of this happened in the last few years of rebirth, which is the most current version.
Have you considered that maybe Diana struggling against these characters isn't a knock against Diana and is more of something of a compliment to the other characters involved? Aquaman and Mera aren't any to sneeze at and Mera's control over water gives her something that Diana SHOULD reasonably struggle against: range. DC is a big universe and Diana should struggle sometimes.
