It's mainly just Diana's face that throws me off. Everything is fine for the most part, imo.

I've seen and own enough Superman vs Lois Lane covers not to get riled up, but if someone didn't tell me that was Diana, I wouldn't have guessed.

I think it's the combo of not being used to her with that pronounced of a nose bridge, the hairstyle, outfit and colors. She just looks like a generic Amazon to some degree.

Well, with all due respect, he's drawing her with a phenotype closer to where she comes from in the world than what we see traditionally which is, effectively, a WASP.

The Amazons are diverse, so it's fine, but he gave her an ethnically Mediterranean face. I understand the reasoning, even if I agree she doesn't look like Diana, but the reasoning itself is sound and it's executed well.

You don't have to find that phenotype attractive, but you are kind of coming across as saying "Greek people shouldn't look too Greek."

I'm Greek. I don't have strong Greek features, but I have family that do and it's a bit concerning that you're essentially saying the Greek goddess of love and beauty, Aphrodite, can only look Anglo-Saxon else she's ugly. She's normally portrayed as someone more likely from England than Greece, I get that, but that's a result of Hollywood white washing casting all the Greek gods as Brits for nearly a century. Come on, dude.

Yes, though like Fish said just about all the iconography has also been removed (bracelets, tiara, lasso, W/Eagle symbol) plus it's kind of rare to Diana in action with heir braided back.

I don't mind the costume though, save for the gold on the inner thighs. Never really considered it before this year but black + gold looks good on her.

And I have googled, for your benefit more than mine, that there are plenty of beautiful greek women that don't look like what the artist has drawn. In fact, when Gal Gadot was cast, many commented that she had that mediterranean look to her, and I doubt most people find her unattractive.

By the way for me Helen of Troy is Irene Papas in The Trojan Women, who could also be a perfect Aphrodite.

You do realize that when people say the 'beauty of Aphrodite' that they are not necessarily speaking of some real life Aphrodite since their is none in existence. If my interpretation of what beauty of Aphrodite is as compared to yours is different, than so be it. Thanks for mansplaining how I need to interpret that phrase.
