I'm willing to give the first issue a chance but I agree there being some red flags like Guy McNights brought up.
Since I'm a Fish brought it up, I'm actually partially sure the first issue with Superman will be the usual "Clark tells Diana she needs to get in touch with humanity/has lost touch with her humanity".
Anyways
Some colored previews from Philips' newsletter/substack.
Art looks fantastic no matter how the story plays out. Still planning to check this out.
For when my rants on the forums just aren’t enough: https://thevindicativevordan.tumblr.com/
Looks like we'll be getting a lot of different Diana looks.
Silver Swan!!!
At an Anthropology Museum!!!

Philips did a mini Q&A session on Twitter, here's some takeaways
- Entirely standalone and unconnected to Cloonan/Conrad's run
- There will be appearances from other Amazons and "other guest appearances" and "similar faces".
- There will be visits to classic WW places but not quite as they seem (I'm guessing this means Steve and Themyscira from the cover of issue #3 are fakes as suspected).
- Guest appearances that are tied to Wonder Woman's character history
- Cully Hammer will be doing a cover (variant)
- There will be a new villain as the mastermind (don't act like y'all didn't see this coming)
The art looks GREAT....but I just HATE Dianas look. At least the ugly ass "tiara". It's throwing everything off for me.
This photo gives me opening fight scene spectacle villain. Silver Swan looks great and at least it's not a one-punch KO of Giganta.
I'm hopeful for the new villain. I just hope the villain has a great design, provides good Wonder Woman battle/battles, and is memorable and well-received. I'm looking forward to this.
A new Stephanie Phillips interview.
Some highlights:
-Silver Swan is a reoccurring villain
-Other Amazons will be in the book
-A theme of the story will be Diana facing past failures
-She wanted to include a lot of elements from runs that came before, highlighting Simones run as one of them.
-They want to push Diana’s restraint to the limit.
