An interesting move that's probably telling of his contract at DC as although he did move Jinx with him to DC he didn't actually put out a ton of material and it sounds like there will be a lot of new books coming out after the move.

So, was it just that DC didn't want to bother with the Jinxworld stuff, or is Bendis not expecting to be doing much work for DC soon?

With Bendis no longer being a DC exclusive this is presumably about him going with the company that gave him the best deal.

I'm guessing once Bendis is done with JL and his Checkmate storyline, he'll be focusing on his original properties. Now, this might be another big name that's putting focus on their own stories. This is going to be an interesting landscape going forward.

Without any big names Marvel and DC are going to become a desolate wasteland.

Eh, the "big names" haven't been putting out stories I've enjoyed all that much of late so it actually makes me hopeful.
