Does Archie's Sonic the Hedgehog universe has two versions of Sonic?

Hi guys

I have a question about Archie's Sonic the Hedgehog universe. After the World's unite arc, the Genisis and Super Genisis wave rebooted the universe, but did that create two versions of Sonic and his friends, or did they remain one version?

Basically, rather than creating a second version of everyone, the reboot universe replaced all the characters with these new iterations. Sonic and Eggman still remember the original universe, and the Freedom Fighters temporarily remember the events in the first arc, but relatively speaking, they're all essentially one version.
