Christopher Priest's Deathstroke Omnibus is getting released this week.

I highly recommend it for fans of the character or anyone who is looking for a great comic.

I agree with you, except that I think he peaked on Morrison's JLA. Everything I've seen since then has been progressively worse...

I like Howard Porter’s art but I get it. There are a few artists who are popular and considered stars in the industry whose work I really don’t like. Rags Morales for instance.

In 2006 Porter severely injured his hand Apparently he severed a nerve and almost the entire tendon in his thumb. Not sure how he got injured but he said he basically had to relearn how to draw. So his style looks quite different from the 90s JLA era. So the fact that he’s still drawing at this level is impressive.

I absolutely loved how creepy the new Hive is. Howard Porter delivered with this one.
I liked it too, though I’d never have bet on me collecting a Deathstroke book.
The preview of upcoming events seems like the book will lean into some humor and high adventure which is great.

    And yeah, Porter delivered.
The art really grabbed me and wouldn’t let go.

I recalled reading about that as soon as I posted, and wondered if I should edit or just wait to be called out...

But you're correct, he does deserve kudos for his comeback.

I'm one of those weird people who prefers Porter's work after his injury than what he did before. I had problems getting into Morrison's JLA run and Porter's art was main reason behind that.
