Who is your Favorite Comics Artist for Action Scenes?

I like Daniel Warren Johnson's action scenes. I think he does a good job at conveying motion in still images:

Bruno Redondo is quickly making a name for himself at exactly this. At least once per issue, he meticulously shows how dynamic the hero's fights are.

He's exceptional at doing this with Nightwing in particular.

I don't know if he's actually the right answer for action/fights, but I think Jorge Jimenez is one of the most dynamic artists DC has had in ages.

I really like how fluid and expressive Sumit Kumar's art style was in Future State: Outsiders. I would say he's someone I would love to see more action scenes from.

Nikolas Draper-Ivey is making a big case for most impressive new talent for me, especially his action. His work on Static has been super stylish, very fluid and dynamic, has a dope cinematic feel; I can see him making some AMAZING stuff for DC if he sticks around.


Bruno Redondo is another one who's action really impressed me. not as hyper-stylized as NDI but he's another one who does really dynamic cinematic action scenes. His Suicide Squad, especially his scenes with Jog, super impressed me. I would love to see him get a Flash or Jog/Black Racer or Impala book, something with a speedster.

these are just the ones that first spring to mind. I feel like a lot of comic artist's action feel like snapshots, like they're too static and pose-y.

That said he's not exactly my favorite because his action scenes can stretch the anatomy into the extreme, and I don't like that, I prefer a more realistic but dynamic look.

I just don't know who right now. Brain empty only Jimenez.

I also wanna throw in Dexter Soy, but I feel he hasn't really fully WOW'd me yet.

Damion Scot did a lot of innovative things woth panel layouts (or lack thereof) in the early 2000s.

I’m reading Far Sector for the first time and Jamal Campbell is pretty damn good.
