What songs would fit DC Comics?

I like to make soundtracks up in my mind ever since I re-discovered the Batman & Robin soundtrack when I was 16. I like "scoring" DC Comics with my ideal songs. So what songs would you put in an ideal scene?

For me, it's all about Moloko. Ever since "Fun For Me," I've been loving that group so much. And if you know me (from my earliest posts on this board or just recently), you know I'm mad they didn't show Atomica inside Scorch in Justice League Vol 2 #27. So if they showed inside, I know that THIS song would fit.



It's trippy, creepy as hell, and would honestly fit the dark interior. Just give it a listen, it's so good.

Now, if you've ever seen Season 2 of Krypton, you know that Seg-El at one point was possessed by Brainiac, but managed to fight back. I, of course, speculated what would happen if he didn't, and the result would be him turning against the council and slaughtering many. And I know the perfect song for it, STRAIGHT off the Batman & Robin soundtrack!!

It gives off that "evil" vibe, just like in the movie with the bike racers. And some of the lyrics actually fit the predicament ("I dream that I am sittin' in the devil's company.") If you've never heard this song, you MUST give it a listen!! It's AWESOME!!

"Kryptonite" by 3 Doors Down is literally Injustice in a song, and I sing it on Superman: Ultimate Flight at Six Flags Great Adventure.

For some reason to me, YES music somehow was appropriate for 70's DC Comics.

Personally, this song has always made me think of Booster Gold (at least lyric-wise, not just the title but the whole thing is oddly relevant):

(I'm aware I talk about some of the things brought up in this post way too much. This is the last time you will ever be hearing them from me... for now.)

If they had showed Shrinking Violet inside of Colossal Boy in Superboy #202, this song would fit...


Also, if Atomica had gone inside of Black Manta in Forever Evil, and Johns showed inside, Tricky's "Overcome" would be a perfect fit. I discovered it in a heroin PSA in which a model takes off her false teeth. That PSA was perfectly creepy, and using it in another creepy context would be a godsend.

Going back to Moloko, "Boo" fits Spectre. Especially Mark Hamill's B:TBatB version.

Spice Girls' "Wannabe" fits the Gotham City Sirens. They call each other family, just like the Spice Girls and they don't let relationships get in the way (ESPECIALLY for Harley.) Add Batgirl and Vicki Vale, and we've got the Gotham Girls!!
