Marvel, a company that makes billions of dollars, knows a lot more about business than you did and they have done considerable marketing of these characters together over the decades and this has quite clearly started again.

It's funny how Wanda with the name Maximoff sells just fine and people are even making shirts that say Maximoff 1989 on them. Wanda's link to mutants did not change in comics. Just her relationship status. Because now they don't loathe her. Her relinking to Mags isn't really a change either because he already considered her his daughter still. It did not make him biologically her father.

We'll see what happens in ITMOM first.

That isn't a connection. That's repaying a debt. One that benefits mutants more than her. Obviously shown by how they've gotten solicits right away. And Wanda nothing. She at least had more autonomy this time. But it's just another event using her for her powers. She gets no advancement from it.

The movie division does for sure. The comics division has struggled for years.

They have not done a lot of marketing of the characters together. Even the events they have been in were very far apart and did not focus much on Wanda.

Poor Wanda was basically not almost not used in years until the popularity of WandaVision forced the hand of the comics division. I am glad they ended her demonization among the mutant community and let Wanda and the other Krakoans heal. I’m sure they have given her citizenship even without an official retcon. Why? Wanda has done more for Krakoan than most Krakoans.

IMO that’s not really true. She does get advancement as hopefully editorial actually lets writers advance stories they want to tell about Wanda with out the looming of bringing up M-Day. She gets to truly flex her powers and show new feats, which isn’t a bad thing. She could possibly be one of Marvel’s signature characters who can appear in different franchises. As well as hopefully this never brings up M-Day ever again. Also her previous solo, that I did like as a magical investigator left open that Wanda wasn’t completely over what she did, which I hope a new series expounds upon investigating not just magic on Earth, but different dimensions, planets and universes with her having meaningful interactions with her family. It’s one thing to say she is over it to magical illusions, it’s another thing to say it to the real person.

I wanna hope so but their new solicits are already out for March. And there is no Wanda. So even if the rumor of a solo in April ends up true, she's not gonna be in comics for a few months.

The problem with all of that is it's all unconfirmed and we have no real idea what they have planned. So it's yet another case of wait and see and hope the next thing means something. But I would not doubt comics failing yet again to capitalize on her MCU popularity.
Because with all the other heroes (even sidekicks and support cast) they didn't delay them being in anything. They marketed them right away.

They also have at least some idea what is being done to Wanda in the MCU already.

Liz Olsen also wasn't a part of the recent reshoots.

It was mentioned (maybe in the Trial of Magneto thread?) by someone that Wanda had performed a “mutant circuit”, and that was evidence that she’s now a mutant…

…honey, no. Wanda’s been doing “superhero circuits” well before Krakoa came along.
