God, I miss Spidey’s taunts about Kingpin’s weight. We’ll never see that again in comics due to everyone being over sensitive these days…
Does a thought bubble count? Then this one
-- In Raimi's Spider-Man 1, when Peter tells Jameson, "Quiet, the grownups are talking" while bantering with Goblin.
-- Practically anything Jameson says in the Spider-Man PS4 games.
-- Also in the PS4, Tombstone's comeback to Spider-Man when the latter asks him to start a soup kitchen, he says, "I will just as soon as it pays better".
-- From Superior Foes of Spider-Man, "Is it a sex thing? Why would it be a sex thing?"
-- From JMS's run on Spider-Man, when a security guard (actually Cap in disguise) asks Doom how come he speaks in all capitals.
-- From Nick Spencer's run, "It was Firelord, and it was awesome!"
A lot of the comedy in Spider-Man is more situational than dialogue-based though.
The funny thing is that Bendis who wrote that is, or rather used to be, on the wider side of life and he had Kong as a plus-size self-insert into that comic, having him serve as the Ultimate Flash in terms of bully-turned-pal.
The spider is always on the hunt.
From the PS4 game:
“More of them?! Guys if you worked this hard at a real job you probably wouldn’t have to be criminals!”
T'Challa
A.K.A. The Black Panther
King of Wakanda
King of the Dead and The Champion of Bast
Two-Time Time Magazine "Person Of The Year"
Six-Time People Magazine "Sexiest Man Alive"
"He's pure power and doesn't even know it. He's the best of us."-Matt Murdock
"I need a reason to take the mask off."-Peter Parker
"My heart half-breaks at how easy it is to lie to him. It breaks all the way when he believes me without question." Felicia Hardy
The punisher girlfriend quip.
The DD quip that made him cry(it's stupid but fun)
A very early one, re-reading ASM #22:
"Parker! And where were you when I was practically at death's door??"
"Aw, I knew you'd be okay, J.J.! After all, you were only hit in the head!"
I can't remember the name of the episode, but it was Venom's last appearance in Spectacular. The most chill conversation between Spider-Man and Venom in a cartoon.
"What were those (web balls) suppose to do?"
"They were supposed to hurt."
"Right idea, wrong caliber."
From Spider-Man Friend or Foe:
"Hi, I'm your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. But I'm not feeling so friendly right this second." James Arnold Taylor nailed that line.
