Yeah it was pretty enjoyable. I think the last thing I read of Cable was the Spurrier run and I just found it kinda mediocre.

I enjoyed that run maybe more than most because I'm a hardcore Cable fan. But objectively it probably was mediocre. Just like the Hopeless run before that.

I was actually thinking X-Sanction was the last great Cable story. Or even story he was involved in. And the importance of it.

Solid issue. It was fun, paced well and the art was serviceable. It was also cool seeing Breakworld again.
    You brought back Wolverine

This issue was good to see Cable back in again and I think its a good direction for him with the cameos of OG X-Force. But with all honesty, I am grown weary of space adventures from mutants. It has become a oversaturated trope over the last year. Like I don't want to see Nova beating Magneto.

Huh, I thought Nathan Christopher Charles Summers is Cable, hence the question re the personal logs data page; I thought Nate Grey is Nathaniel Grey. Just thought it was an interesting note on the data page regarding Cable.

No one better than Cable to fire a big bullet from a big gun, of course.

Plus, I love the implication that one of the historical figures to inspire the future mutants' fight against Apocalypse is none other than Rocket Racoon. Like how today's militaries cite Patton, Julius Caesar, and Sun Tzu.

Nathaniel District Attorney Summers, J.D.. Nate finished law school and made Scott and Jean proud.

(I would happily watch this show. Law & Order: Askani'Son)

Yep, knew he finished law school - just never realised in the States you put your job title in the middle of your name. What does JD stand for ?

With regards to the name query, I never followed Wifi only OG Cable & so hadn't come across Wifi's name - just assumed of he was OG Cable, he'd also retain his original name. Now wondering if there might be something more to this...

JD stands for Juris Doctor, which is a type of degree. Means you are technically a doctor of law or jurisprudence. I also have one, like Mr. Summers. Mine’s not from Harvard, though.

I wonder, should the occasion ever call for a power struggle between Cable and Brand, who would win?

So Cable was director of Security of S.W.O.R.D., took a 40 year hiatus and returns to the job. LOL....does he really still want to do it?

I loved that whole bit, Cable fully appreciating meeting Rocket who is a legend to him.
