Default Cover Contest 8/25/2021 - 8/31/2021 WHO KNOWS WHAT THIS CONTEST THEME IS?

The Shadow Knows! Of course. So this theme will be covers that have a shadow on them. it could be a character called Shadow, or more commonly found, a shadow caused by light being blocked.

    So I include Jim Steranko's SHIELD 7

    SHIELD7.jpg

Post one (and only one) cover that fits the theme of this week's contest.
Cover must be from a published comic book, collected volume or graphic novel.
Covers must be posted before voting begins.
Voting begins 12 AM Tuesday and runs until 12 AM Wednesday PST.
Vote by posting the name in bold of the poster whose cover best fits the theme or that you simply like the most. A vote need not be in bold, but it does make it easier to tally votes.
The winner of the contest is the entrant with the most votes after the voting period.
It's okay to discuss the covers but if you think someone's entry doesn't fit the theme or violates the rules don't argue it in the thread - simply don't vote for it.
Most importantly, remember that we're here to have fun. Enjoy!
I’ll don the mask and wear the cape
If I am super, how can I wait?

There came a time when the Old Gods died! The Brave died with the Cunning! The Noble perished locked in battle with unleashed Evil! It was the last day for them! An ancient era was passing in fiery holocaust!

While I love the two early Shadow Thief covers, and really dislike the new52 Hawkman series, I just really liked the graphic design and used of the shadow in this cover for some reason, so went with it. Of the two early Shadow Thief covers though, I think I like Hawkman #5 more than the B&B cover even though I am a huge Kubert fan and collector.

The one Lucky Luke front cover that actually has the faster-than-his-shadow gag on it:

Of course, the back cover of pretty much every volume is:

Lets keep going with the X-Men theme. This issue was during the time when the X-Men series just consisted of reprints of older stories, from issue 67-93, and this issue reprinted issue #17. Both the old and new covers were by Jack Kirby, but I like the coloring more on the reprint than on the original cover.
