I know I've been on an Archie Comics kick lately when it came to Cover Contest selections, but this entry was too on point for this week's theme to resist!

Here's an Australian comic from 1951 or 52. It's got a shadow, it's got The Shadow (a unique interpretation); it's got cheesecake, a flying saucer and a jet!

    Who could ask for more?

In honor of a certain appearance in a trailer.

I think restorative nostalgia is the number one issue with comic book fans.
A fine distinction between two types of Nostalgia:

Reflective Nostalgia allows us to savor our memories but accepts that they are in the past
Restorative Nostalgia pushes back against the here and now, keeping us stuck trying to relive our glory days.

And sadly, I could never find this on a cover. Obviously not an entry.

    Me and my shadow
We're closer than pages that stick in a book
We're closer than ripples that play in a brook
    Strolling down the avenue
Wherever you find him, you'll find me, just look
Closer than a miser or the bloodhound's?
