Exclamation Wally West fans, where are you when we need you the most?

Seeing the Flash sales run is going pretty bad is making me worrisome. The latest issue of the Flash is only around 34k sales. This is totally not good as it need to be over 40k sales. We don't want DC think Wally is no longer good seller anymore. And worse probably gonna to sideline him again after 5 years of anticipate since DC Rebirth. Even since his returned, We need to get hype again to support the run so that the higher up could reach up the expectations. Please quickly buy the remaining copies if you missed out the early issue.

You've been repeating this over and over in the Wally thread. You can't doomsay sales numbers when they're functionally the same without a renumbering and minimal advertisement.

Isn't 30 K and above considered good enough to keep a book running these days?

Can you quote a legitimate source for this "fact"?

Uh, if those copies are already in stores, does DC really notice if anybody buys those copies or not?

I do not think those numbers are crazy and I do believe most Flash fans are happy that Wally is the main guy in the book.

DC does NOT care because the store already paid for them. As we have seen stores seem to be FINE with Batman and his entitled friends having unsold copies that end up in grab bags or ultra-discounted bins.

While throwing FITS if a POC lead book leaves ONE copy unsold-never mind the store only ordered 3 copies in the first place.

Wally was a good sellers and DC tossed him away because of who was in charge.

This is a CONSEQUENCE that DC has to accept for all the disrespect and unjustified drama that not just Wally fans but fans of MANY characters had to deal with for the past 20 years.

While Dc was chasing fans off, other companies was welcoming them.

That trust has to be REEARNED. Problem is way too many books where these editorial antics do NOT happen are getting the support.

Also maybe some folks don't like the current story? Not everyone HATE buy a book or still believes in having a duty to buy a book because of who is on the cover.

I had to deal with 5 years of Black Panther being trashed in his own book.

Guess what happened? The money for that book went to Boom Studios.

Wally just needs something innovative like the speed force (which was created in his run) except it can only be used by him. he could go in adventures in outer space. Maybe the speed force can create a highway around the known universe. Since the Universe is always expanding it can be on the outside edges. Or maybe he can lend the speed force to other super heroes like Superman and Supergirl. If they had speed they could fly around the Universe in an atto second. Cyborg could hack into the speed force and have super speed like other speedsters since I'm sure that the information use and communicated by the speed force travels as fast as the speedsters. Information is the corner stone of all communications-oral and written and of course computers and the internet.

Yeah, Barry was only pulling in 30/31k the last several months prior to the pandemic so there's a slight bump up if anything.

But given they kept the numbering, Adams being an unknown writer, and a lot of people not even knowing Wally took over, I don't see why anyone expected a huge initial jump. I also doubt there's a real big difference between Wally and Barry when it comes to who is the bigger draw with the comic fandom.

There is also the generation turn over. The people reading comics today aren't all the same people who were reading it in 2011. Like you said, some of them have moved on to other things. The mainstream perception of the Flash is also different from the comics thanks to the tv show, movies and cartoons.

I think they just need to focus on the family aspect and how Wally emphathies with the Rogues moreso than any other hero. That's the only thing that sets him apart from Barry since the Speed Force is now tied to him as much as it is to Wally.

DC think that everybody, except Bat-Family and The Joker is no longer good seller anymore, you're too late with this statement. Action Comics (the only Clark ongoing currently) and Green Lantern sell on the same level with The Flash, Wonder Woman sells even worse. So what?
And those numbers aren't that bad as you think, stop panicking, it's starting to be really annoying.
