Default Ben Turner: The Bronze Tiger Appreciation 2021

" ...I shall not be moved."

Welcome to the Bronze Tiger appreciation thread! Our boy isn't in any comic right now, but there is recent content! Ben appeared in the animated movie Batman: Soul of the Dragon. If you want to read his first appearances, you can get Richard Dragon Kung-Fu Fighter: Coming of the Dragon. It collects Richard Dragon, Kung-Fu Fighter #1-18, The Brave and the Bold #132, and DC Comics Presents #39.

The animated movies he's been in so far used him really well! I love this scene and I also loved this scene from SotD

    But not Detective Comics #485 (August-September 1979)

Bronze Tiger has had some really good luck in adaptations.

Shiva outgrew her series and became an important fixture in the Bat books forming relationships with the Question, Cass Cain Batgirl, Batman and Black Canary.

It's Richard Dragon who seems to have languished in the mean time.

It's crazy considering Ben and Shiva were supporting characters in his book. Even though I despise their New 52 appearances, they both were together with Richard no where in sight.

Tiger mask is kind of hokey, but I don't dislike it .

I only knew Tiger from Suicide Squad. Damn shame that he's been mostly removed from the team

Well, it wasn't necessarily the best time of his life (other than Mari)...

Imo I love Ben but he needs real direction as a character
He doesn't belong on the suicide squad that's supposed to reflect him during a very bad time in his life

He can't be on the LoA he's too good for that

I don't particularly like him being Batman's buddy because its often with the caveat of only doing favors for Bruce

    What's left for him
Maybe a teamup book with Vixen

It was a good time for him in regards to character development, and he was a good voice of reason within the team, and utter bad ass.
