Avoca pitched in to help Jack and Totoma keep the creature bound. She fired a pair of energy bonds that tethered its legs to the ground, and then a larger one that tethered around its waist.

The day couldn't have gone any worse. Not only was her daughter Sakin's captive, but her wife and best friend had both been suddenly kidnapped. Avoca may have had a say about Garnish, but there was nothing she could do about Parsley and Sarada. She had no way to travel to other universes and didn't know anyone alive who could. The only thing that she knew could that she would have been able to use was that Apparatus Parsley had been fiddling with. The very same Apparatus that Parsley kept on her person.

What was worse, there was no guarantee that Night even took them back to his world. For all she knew, he may have dropped them at Sakin's feet for whatever plan he had going on. She had expected the final battles to be the most difficult of her life, but not like this. She assumed that she would have everyone by her side and her personal life would be safe. Instead, the higher powers kept pulling the most cowardly ****. "Goddamn it," she said tersely.

Ochazuke, you can see that with each hand manifested, the storm has thinned and even the portals to the Demon Realm have closed due to not enough energy to power them since it’s being focused in so many areas.

You also feel a massive surge of power as Caliban adds more Creational Enefgy to the Genki-Dama Zaofan is summoning.
The more they brought to bear, the greater in mass and charge the fighting spirit grew.

That's right. If they couldn't find the strength to believe in themselves, the Threshlings draw strength form their belief in something higher.

Certainly this quality existed in many fine peoples throughout the universe, but the children of Auroc in particular anchored their power, for better or worse, in faith. It had been their weakness a year ago, but now...well, who knew the effects of Heka would translate so directly to galvanize them? He felt it through the Genki currents as they rose higher and perfused through the Stalker's clouds.

    Two ingredients...harmonizing...***

"Fight on, Knights of Reshlan! We've parted the clouds! Now we'll break the Storm!"

Rooted in his stance, for a moment as he lift his hand, Zaofan's image seemed to flicker as he stood, near defenseless, as he faced down the hands manifesting from the clouds...

    ___

Ochazuke sat upon the command chair. Though his eyes remained closed, the Zero System that carried his meditation field through the Gotengo coursed through the navigation instruments, and synchronized with the Nevadian surveillance satellites surrounding the planet. He'd analyzed the pattern of attack and communicated his findings across the communication band.

"With every action she takes, she must divest some of her power and more importantly, her focus. Furthermore, a single consciousness stretched through the clouds upon the planet, that may be to her detriment if a task requires focus."

The data streams carried from the Navigator uplink served as his eye in the sky, fine-tuning their vector of attack. In addition, being part of the universe-spanning trading network, he knew he was not the only one watching.

    ___

When the Destroyer's hands loosed their attacks, Each energy ball struck and hit mark. The first that struck buried its energy into one Gotengo unit, and in a flash that bathed the horizon the exposition flared.

Certainly it had appeared identical to the one that had parted the skies over Reshlan, and each bristling energy signature was identical, but a closer inspection would reveal the facsimile was far too exact; the scars rent, and the alloy patchwork was identical. Elsewhere around the Threshling globe, another Gotengo pushed forward and She who Stalks' energy globe careened toward it, and phased through its shape entirely...for indeed it was not truly there.

Zaofan's Before Image reinforced with Ochazuke's Ishiki Toei created a solid ki construct with fidelity to the original. Combined with the holographic imaging globes from Capsule Corp, the False Fleet was as solid as any. And somebody was conducting the energy constructs from a distance.

Possibly a difficult distinction to make for one with many hands and a lesser number of eyes, but the true surprise remained concealed until a split second later when it detonated in the middle of the clearing.

Each False Gotengo's image concealed a Chaff Round that exploded where the storm had swallowed it in a bid to further reduce its area of effect and push backward from the heart of the capital.

Aboard the Gotengo's command bridge, as the Scions of Zxu'ro fought to buy time for Held to redirect the runic spell, their silent partner's eyes shot wide open. The sound of the flute was certainly drowned out by the battle, but for Koorimaru the song of Night filled his heart with terror.

"Kkk...kkhh~!!!" The Arcosian's teeth clenched, his throat filled as if choking, and his tail unspooled.

    “Find it.”
"He's found me. Damned if I know how, but Night's found me!"

The flute was strange, discordant. Even as the sound was strange, the energy behind its reverb seemed to carry it through the air and space itself. With Kyokushin Keihatsu, Ochazuke could only analyze it from a distance, but its effects were already pronounced.

"...if they wanted you, they'd have made it to the bridge."

"Save the fastidious analysis, our chances were already slim as-is," Koorimaru hissed, "When they were preparing to make their proclamation over this accursed universe, I stole away with Asha'rah's corpse to buy time, and for what, you've brought it right back to them!"

"How fortunate for you, then, that this Night creature has stolen away with Sarada and Parsley."

"My, what a shame." Even in this desperate situation, Koorimaru had time for a cruel smirk. "Well, let them have the monkeys."

The cables connected to the Zero System interface lurched as Ochazuke nearly tore himself from the pilot's seat, and the various onboard instruments inside the Gotengo zeroed in on the snake in their midst for a moment.

"The Saiyans are not expendable," his thoughts bristled, "none of our teammates are."

"Is that right? Funny you should mention that. I don't see the Oni here, either, perhaps it's merely a manner of convenience, whether we reach salvation or not by the consideration of higher powers! Damn the prophecy, we've already changed the proceedings. The least we can do is honour their sacrifice and continue the fight on their behalf elsewhere!"

Silence hung in the air for a moment. Yet as it had remained in Reshlan space, the Gotengo continued to spin on.

"Night bears Sakin's witness. That's all we need to know."

Right now, Ochazuke continued to focus on marshalling the fight against She Who Stalks, and considered the range of findings they'd happened upon during this encounter.

"Let's get this done as soon as possible." Held mumbled glumy, the noxious essence of the monster summoned intensifying as Held proceeded. "...I really should have had a drink before this."

"Ma Yusha, Bensho-Sennin," he queried to the impromptu crewmen brough aboard as part of Sasheem's little army, "make your preparations."

The two nodded and it wasn't long before they began to get to work. Ma Yusha harnessed the dark magical energies within himself, harnessing them throughout his body. His target would not be a person per see, but concepts. Desire, greed, hatred, envy. Every sin imaginable would be magnified tenfold and each of their caustic natures emerging from the realm of thought and into the realm of the material.

Sasheem, grunted and began to roll across the bridge. "Alrigh....gonna head out and help fight these freaksh!"

"In your present condition...?" The Snake Mistress questioned. "Really?"

"AWW shaddup!" The currently rotund Majin grunted. "Sasheem can still fiught!" he muttered, finally mustering the willpower necessary to roll around at will and seek out a proper exit.

Blizzar sat in space on the shoulder of the Mecha-Durive. His plan was to coordinate a simultaneous orbital strike from Durive in cohesion with the Gotengo's. "The Galaxy Police's forces are gathering for a simultaneous assault," he spoke in a message sent to the allied vessel. "We are merely waiting for the word and we will strike with you."

At that moment a blip appeared in the sky, noticeable enough to catch the Arcosian's attention....and how could it not be for out of this blip was a massive orbital....orb. On it's huyll was the emblem of the Time Patrol or what remained of it after Sakin's excursions into Space-Time ripped the base out of subspace. From the window on the orb-shaped ship, a tiny Durive, (past or future, it doesn't particularly matter with him, I guess), caught sight of his giant counterpart and waved before embarrassingly putting away the badge he had made labeled, "Durive 2," and tossing it into the corner.

After all, how could he claim the right of "first" when he wasn't nearly as big?

Accompanying the Time Patrol was Lantro, the one who had found them drifting off through space in the first place. He had only a slight idea of what was going on, but after getting a brief sense of where his allies' ki was he was able to get an idea of the general gameplan. "Heh...so we're in the second quarter," the half-Saiyan/half-Nevadian muttered, resisting theurge to dribble the Time Patrol's base through Reshlan's upper atmosphere.

The Chaff strikes the storm cloud hands, and a resonating shriek of surprise and rage filters across the planet of Reshlan, followed by a sickening halo aura of demonic energy that seems to ring the entire planet momentarily.

The storm suddenly shrinks down, down and down, condensing and thickening until only over the capital and the surrounding 100 miles or so lay the once massive planetary storm. But now, now the demonic energy is truly thick and potent, and there flares dark and evil lights within the now black as space cloud.

    ———————

The fifty foot tall Amalgam Demon roars as the added attacks render it apart, the Purity Aura the last kicker as it’s body begins to dissolve like acid. Totoma cheers until the demonic storm suddenly darkens, shrinks, and condensing all around them. Within that thickened, low hanging storm, the energy rumbles and the Amalgam Demon suddenly finds new life.

With a scream of Vile Thoughts that penetrate all who stand near its minds’, the best reforms and jerks its body. Totoma is jerked through the portal on the Gotengo and out into the beast, who back hands him into Jack. The cage Praxat made shatters and the Toadian is lashed back backwards by a demented tongue.

Avoca and Tasure are breathed upon by one mouth, and the two Saiyans crumple as they start puking and sweating as disease and poison wracks their bodies.

Charco, who had managed to avoid all this, roars and fires an energy blast at the creature, sunlight infused Ghost Hakai smacking against a dark shield that blocks the blow.

Parsley's own gaze narrowed to match his own. She was often times more cautious than her sister. In past encounters, she wouldn't have dreamed of trying to encroach on Night like that. But with the fate of the literal universe at stake, she couldn't afford to leave any stone unturned, especially if Night was going to prove to be an obstacle in their way again in the near future. It is like pushing through razors. Parsley’s mind is flayed and she can feel her inner eye, the thing that lets her use her Observational Focus, cracking.

But she does see a truth.

Night’s form is an illusion. Instead, a dragon like humanoid stands before her looking suspiciously like a human and Alakazah had a child. An overlay of Grinthorn and a beautiful brown haired human woman can briefly been seen.

And you realize this is Eldfen’s son.

Your mind breaks free of this truth and you stagger back, bleeding from your eyes and ears.

    ——————

Night doesn’t answer Sarada just yet, his eyes turning back to Parsley who is bleeding now. His flute rises up and he plays a few notes.

    ‘I warned you.’

    He looks back to Sarada.

The Nevadians eyes narrowed as the storm seemed to be condensing before his eyes, a cloud of dark, thick malevolence obscuring the city entirely, even from his potent vision. Nonetheless, through the Shingan, he could see how the power of the storm now concentrated its efforts around the capital.

It would tolerate no intruders lightly.

"Ochazuke, I might need a moment." Held informed his commander, The Galloping making a sharp left turn to avoid colliding into the neigh apocalyptic winds being produced. This was to say nothing of the potent energy crackling within the storm clouds.

The ship arched clockwise, circling the city as Held focused the vision of the Shingan on She Who Stalks. If nothing else, he might be able to determine where the storm was weakest, and proceed through the 'safest' route.

Or, if nothing else, it would make for the ideal weak point to create one, assuming such a thing could be found.

The storm is layered and robust, no exact weak point obvious.

Except towards the Amalgam Demon below it, as just above the towering beast there does appear to be a slightly weaker section of the storm. Probably from the energy taken to restore the demon thrashing Held’s allies currently.

Though the hard expression had set into his face the moment they'd confronted She Who Stalks in the open, Ochazuke felt some measure of relief as Held sounded off as his prized Galloping shot forward. Moreover, as much as their communicative frequencies connected them ship to ship, his sense-awareness found the flare of purifying energy.

Someone's found them. His innermost thoughts fought to train the impulse that would have carried it over the signal the Zero System would codify into speech.

Even from this distance, as Held pushed beneath the storm, it struck out like a flare in a dead, starless night. But this is only a glimpse...

One unholy scream seemed to shake the world, then twenty-two others ripped apart the shroud of demonic energy forcefully. As they'd promised, they'd broken the storm apart, and yet from his perch he trembled to behold it.

"...well it went just as we'd planned when Koorimaru'd planted the rounds, but I think we might have made it worse."

Ochazuke's meditation field struck out over the planet.

"She was a god before she was deposed. This, too, is part of the plan."

Positioning itself between the Capital and the remainder of the storm, the Gotengo began to close in on the convergent cloud. Despite the light that now fell from the parting in the sky, the living shadow seemed only to swallow the waking dawn from the distant Threshling star, as if its span were some broken portal to the abyssal unknown surrounding the world.

"We've found the vector of attack. Now we collapse it further."

Bristling with energy, the lone Gotengo began to climb altitude. Pursing his lips and loosing a long exhale, Zaofan nodded silently to assure himself. His white cape turned in the wind and he felt a stiff chill overtake him. Set to the course, he then raised his other hand.

‘Your sister is bold. And foolish.’
It felt like a cornucopia of jagged, serrated blades had been pushed into her brain at every possible angle imaginable. She could feel her mind peeling apart at the seams, like a ball of yarn being rapidly unraveled then piled into a jumbled, knotted mess. Still, she persisted. Even as she let loose an ear-splitting of pure agony, she persisted. The truth was just beyond her grasp. All she had to do was reach... a... little... further... All the while, the unknown source of her power of observation was crumbling apart like a broken mirror. The consequences of her desperate ambition would come to fruition at some point soon; perhaps as soon as she was done, if she survived.

If she was going to die or spend the rest of her life as a brain-dead vegetable, she was going to do it with the knowledge that she managed to unravel the secret of the mysterious Night, a feat that not even someone as learned and well-traveled as Auroc managed to accomplish.

Then, through the shattered facets of her Observation Focus, she found what she was looking for. And what she found was beyond what she could have possibly imagined finding.

    Night was Eldfen's son.

The truth was startling, but Parsley was in no position to react. When the truth was learned, the broken shambles that remained of her mind was forcibly released from Night's person. Blood flowed freely from her eyes and ears as she fell to the ground.

"Parsley?" Sarada kneeled beside her and shook her softly in an attempt to rouse her. When she didn't awaken or even respond unconsciously, her eyes widened. "Parsley!" She turned her caustic gaze to Night and level a furious glare at him. "What the hell did you do to her?!"

It would tolerate no intruders lightly.

Ochazuke, I might need a moment. Held informed his commander, The Galloping making a sharp left turn to avoid colliding into the neigh apocalyptic winds being produced, to say nothing of the potent energy crackling within the storm clouds.

As the Galloping made its pursuit, the Gotengo moved to engage the Stalker's Storm in tandem.

"We'll hold it in position for as long as we can."

Ochazuke peered into the core of the Stalker's being, set firm upon his course. While his insights of Kyokushin Keihatsu were limited where the cascades of godly energy veiled this creature, as he moved closer, he remained steadfast upon his path and moved his perceptions deeper with Banjakuza

"Are you mad?" While Zaofan stood nearly face-to-face with the Stalker's essence, Koorimaru upon the bridge was equal parts ill-kept advisor and hostage at this moment. "The creature wells with Hakai, and you're moving towards it?!"

"Be silent," came the curt reply over the throaty hackles of the Arcosian.

For She Who Stalks was one of many who'd claimed the mantle of a God of Destruction, perhaps the veil of godliness was not elusive of detection. How redundant would it be to consider that which simply is? But now collecting a precise attack vector, he sought to glimpse something beyond the divinity of their foe: contained within the essence of this body, how much could be said to be pure evil?

"If you would hasten to make your move, Majin, perhaps one of your students might push you from the closest airlock."

"If it would please this rotund one, I could speed you away through a Void Tunnel...though under the circumstances I'd be quick about it," Koorimaru said, though a bead of sweat rolled down his crystalline dome. "You lot are my contingency plan, I'd rather not waste my bid before the battle has truly begun."

"Zaofan's collecting the energy until he can mobilize it," Ochazuke said. "Our aim is to hold the creature at bay until Held can collapse it into a single point, where we can finally end her. Ma Yusha prepares his spell, but you, Wizard, can you seal its movements?"

And though these two had determined their methods, there was one other aboard whom Ochazuke had a particular cause to petition.

"While your successor and I have had countless disagreements, we remain bound to the legacy of the Five Schools, scions of the Ten Teachings from the Master of Masters," he started, "The realms have thinned, and I do not know how much time remains for the departed...but if you would demonstrate your technique, Snake Mistress, to return all to One, even as a former Crane I would stand and fight by the famed fangs of Orochi."

All the while, as the Spirit Bomb swelled, it shone bright upon the planet's surface, marking the location of the battle well for Blizzar and Lantro above with the GP ensemble.

Victory was theirs. Avoca's anxious expression relaxed to allow herself a relieved sigh. The fight was over, a relatively quick one made possible through teamwork and the timely gift from Sarada. With it done, they could... "What?"

Her gaze drifted upward to behold whatever was going on above them. A planetwide scream of fury and surprise heralded the planetary storm that was the God of Destruction shrinking. Shrinking and condensing. If she knew anything about condensing energy, it made it stronger. A burst of energy from the storm fell upon the creature, and everything they had done up to that point had been undone. "WHAT THE FUCKING HELL?!"

All their hard work, just reversed like some stupid fucking card game. "Now what is it - urk!" One mouth breathed all over her and Tasure with its rancid, putrid breath. Maybe it wasn't the smell that made a wave, a fucking tsunami of bile erupt out of her mouth, but it didn't help. It felt like she had extreme pains all over her body. Every second, her stomach ejected it contents in a projectile wave that sullied the ground under her. Eventually, when the contents of her stomach were emptied, blood took its place, staining the pile and coloring it crimson.
