All it took was a few moments of the clash for them to realize just how outclassed they were. It wasn't like the invasion a year ago. Those grunts were actual mooks. Neither Saiyan would have been surprised if any of the Arcosians facing them would have been the final boss.

    "Ready?" Pinach asked.

    "Ready."

"Let's go!" They let out a cry in unison and flew toward the nearest two Arcosians and attacked them in unison. When one struck, the other was ready to block and parry to cover them. It was their only chance.

Maiz noticed that the numbers of those after her had split the moment Sarada made her timely appearance. Even with two, they were still in no less danger than before. She gasped and struggled to keep her grip on the children against the much stronger telekinesis tugging them toward the Icers.

As it continued, Kumara continued to grow more irritated with everything going on. "Go away," she said, her soft baby voice tinged with something deeper. The next moment, a pair of pitch black beams of stygian Hakai burst from her hands, heading directly for the two Icers.

Sarada focused her attention on the two Icers headed her way. She fired another energy blast at the two of them. However, when it crossed the midway point, it exploded into a cloud of Energy Discs, intended on cutting the both of them to ribbons.

Two of the Arcosians seem bored and fly away, the other two clearly playing with the cousins as they defend . Eventually, both get stopped in place by TK and held there.

    —————

One Arcosian gets hit and simply disappears, the other dodging. Afterward, he jerks sharply and all three children float up towards him with his TK.

    —————

The Arcosians dodge the energy discs and return the attack with their own, targeting Sarada.

Were it not for the fact that their foe was the side of the moon, they'd have parsed something to work with beyond what the ship's captain had already sighted.

    "Freeze Ray's holding...but tt's too deep, we can't make out a weakpoint!"

Seated at the centre of the bridge, Ochazuke was silent. Though stilled in the seat of command, the issue of energy through the Gotengo was coordinated by his will and spirit, and the freezing Maser continued to still the limb.

"Is that so? Then we'll have to get closer, won't we?"

The bridge fell silent for a moment, and reflexively, the muscle-memory from the drills flooded the crew's instincts. "Engage the Bow Drill!"

Of the 400 meters of the Starship Gotengo, nearly a third of its length was concentrated into the brass-coloured bore. Flanked on its underside by debris breakers, like a pair of rotary saws designed to smash through and part astro-flotsam before it, it was designed for a single purpose.

One that would find engagement soon, once they'd entered range.

Banking hard from the immobilized arm, a salvo of missiles swarmed over the giant, and the Gotengo surged forward. It was getting nearer now, their weapons' line of fire falling like thunder over the creature's face. Closer now, Ochazuke continued to search for a target.

He would not let the officers who remained die in vain. "I can go about this forever, but to tell you the truth, my skillset does not lie in engaging in interstellar dogfights with ragtag fleets of ships. I could take them out one by one but by the time I reach half, the lot of you would be decimated by now..."

"Just do what you can, sir and we'll do the same!" P-Cee replied over her comm-link, doing all she could to avoid the volley of fire headed in her direction.

"For as much good as that'll do us....we need a plan of action! we don't even have a window to retreat!" X-Bo exclaimed, tiredly. It was not too long ago that they had arrived at the battlefield, but they were already beginning to feel weary of the insurmountable odds presented against them.

"Don't give up yet, brother!" P-Sta encouraged his siblings. "Now's not the time to let the stakes get the better of you! These are no second-rate piratic vessels nailing us to the wall, these are warships. Massive frigates of the deadliest of the galaxies criminals. Everyone the Galaxy Police has made an enemy of, now regrouped and given the chance to enact their revenge! Perhaps some of their grievances can be traced back to us. We haven't exactly been proficient at our jobs, have we?"

P-Sta's ship rocked forward as more fire from enemy ships began to pelt the dwindling number of GP Ships from all directions, causing many of them to break formation. "But we are not here to ruminate on the fate of the GP! We're here to aid in their escape so that we may assist in the efforts to track down and defeat Sakin once and for all!"

"That's right!" N-Ten's voice chimed in. "Our allies across the galaxy are in great danger, we know that much! We have to live through this!" she grunted, pulling up on her leaver to narrowly avoid enemy gunfire. "We're gonna pull through!"

"Heh heh..." St-Eam, the newest and youngest member of the Squadron scratched his nose, excitedly. "Don't forget, guys! The one and only Dr. Cast's in there too! If anybody can pull a miracle outta his sleeve it's him! And I bet he has something right now given how quiet he's been this whole time..."

One by one, many enemy ships burst into spectacular explosions, most of them from Blizzar zooming around the perimeter, punching through as many ships as he could to free the entrapped GP Ships and give them a chance to escape. He too, hoped Dr. Cast had something up his sleeve, for everyone's sake. After all, while he had plenty of energy to pummel these ships for quite a while, he wasn't entirely sure what to expect from such a massive fleet composed of those with such desperate, dark intent.

    ***

In the depths of the GP Base, Dr. Cast, and Durive...had finally made it. It looked more akin to an archeological dig than the core of a massive space station, but not many knew the secrets hidden within the heart of the GP's headquarters, save Commissioner Mourn, Durive, and himself. Not many knew just how the base was not built but found, adrift in the cold depths of space. A shining beacon awaiting those who sought justice. And now the base was but a shell of it's former self. It didn't at all resemble what it truly was.

Loose panel and electrical wiring hung from the walls. None of it seemed to be of similar make to anything in Universe 15. Something truly alien, truly foreign but all the same...charming, in a sense. A warm feeling that would bring one back to their youth. It was an odd sensation, but if anything Durive felt welcome here more than any other area of the base. Though perhaps the look of content was fro the fact that he remembered he'd grabbed a burger before he and Dr. Cast left and it was only just now that he'd gotten a chance to slow down and eat it.

"Durive, my friend..." Dr. Cast knelt down to the floor. "Just how long has it been since you were found, hmm?" Dr. Cast inquired. "How long has it been since you have truly gotten to play?" he asked Durive, who hastily wiped the crumbs off of his face for the burger he was chowing on. The barbecue sauce remained, however. It was just outside his field of vision.

But none of that mattered now. It was finally time. It had been very long, hadn't it? Dr. Cast brushed off the dust from a large sliding door [laced upon a tube that appeared to be made from some reinforced glass. "This looks like it..." he held out his hand for Durive to hop on, and the diminutive Chief did so. "I think....I think that once this happens. Things will no longer be exactly the same. I don't think you will go back to being Chief of the GP."

Durive offered a non-chalant shrug. But then he remembered all the pranks. The memories. Tears began to well up in his crayon-eyes. But he was determined. With some effort, Dr. Cast used his free hand to slide the glass tube door open used the other to place Durive inside. The chief was enveloped in an almost holy light as he ascended upward within the tube. Dr. Cast covered his eyes, the light soon enveloping the entire base.

Covering his eyes still, he managed to draw out a communicator linked the entire base in order to broadcast his next message to all ships in the vicinity friend and foe alike.

    ***

"Greetings, staunch defenders and hated foes of justice!" Dr. Cast's voice resonated, broadcast throughout all ships. Enemies old and new. It's been a long road, hasn't it? We've all wronged each other, but there are more pressing matters to attend to. Desperate, bitter matters, born of the oldest hatreds within the cosmos. It is now time to put these old hatreds aside, but I see many of you toss reason to the wind. Perhaps if our former Lieutenant's persuasive offers do not dissuade you, then this will."

A light began to envelop the GP's Base, once christened The Sanctum Supernova in times od old, a name seldom used anymore but all too fitting now as it flashed brilliant colors and its metal hull began to slowly shift and fold. "This is not some old fortress built by the hands of mortals, this was not simply the grounds for which justice was to be decided by committees and filled to the brim with young upstarts brimming with hope for the future of the galaxy. It is something more. It was always something more. Older, more ancient than you can imagine!"

"It...it can't be?!" P-Sta exclaimed. "I've always figured, there was something unknown about HQ, but this is just the icing off the cake! The base is really doing it! It's transforming!"

"All these years, right under our nose..." P-Cee almost laughed.

"Hell yeah! This is it!" X-Bo sat back relieved. "You were right little bro. Dr. Cast always has something up his sleeve!"

"See, I told ya!" St-Eam folded his arms, the smugness almost audible from within his ship.

"We should probably use this chance to fall back, but I don't want to miss this...I don't think our enemies will either," N-Ten giggled excitedly.

The remaining GP forces, for the first time since this assault began, started to feel the light of hope shining across their weary faces. Its rays, gentle and strong like a sun, could warm even the coldest depths of space. It was as if a valorous, jovial song had once again swayed their hearts into action. Even Blizzar, his pristine carapace now coated in the dirt and grime of blood and oil, felt his cold blood begin to sizzle and his frost demon heart soared with this grandiose revelation.

He could not help but half-cover his eyes and gaze in awe as the GP's base began to take shape. The dazzling celestial light soon began to fade, the creaking began to stop and soon all present could see what massive presence loomed before them, the true Sanctum Supernova!

    "..."

    "..."

    "..."

    "..."

    "..."

Blizzar's was so stricken with awe, he could not find the words to express himself, but his facial expressions spoke for him.

A moment of silence, than over comms you hear laughter from the enemy ships.

They were getting toyed with! Pinach and Rutaba were fighting for their lives, as hard as they possibly could, and they were just being toyed with. "Damn it! Arrogant bastards!" Rutaba yelled.

She and Pinach could do nothing when they were stopped dead in their tracks by telekinesis and held in place like mice in a trap. "I'm not done yet!" Pinach concentrated much of his energy into his finger and fired a thin beam at one of the two Arcosians, hoping to do something. Anything.

Before Maiz's very eyes, the Arcosian that was struck by Kumara's pitch black beam simply vanished into nothing. "What the..." She glanced down at the baby, who was still frowning at the lone remaining Arcosian. She was distracted, but her grip didn't slacken on the three children. Still, they were snatched out of her grip by his telekinesis. "NO!" Her hands glowed with Creation. One hand stretched forward while the other touched her temple.

She used her telepathy to attempt to drive a psychic spike into his brain.

Sarada's discs were dodged, but that actually worked to her advantage. She cloaked herself with an energy barrier and mentally directed the discs to make a wide turn and aim for their flank while they were distracted with trying to hit her.

She wasn't sure how much longer she was going to hold out. It would have been prudent and the best strategy to continuously shift from SSJ3 to SSJ2 when she needed to conserve power, then back again to attack and defend. The only problem was that she needed just a few seconds to transform; seconds she didn't have to spare. How are these fucking clowns so strong? she mentally snarled as she worked on dealing with the attacks by flying high into the air and blasting them from above.

Pushing forward from the ice-shattered surface of the Dreadnaught's massive arm, Ochazuke and the crew of the Gotengo began to climb, drawing the thing's gaze as it veered to starboard. They were just over its shoulder now, almost there, the span shortening slightly. From this change in view, the crewman could have seen the full span of the giant from head to toe and into the space beyond, were they not focused on the goal at hand.

Then the column of light flood the expanse, and they were nowhere to be seen.

    _____

Kenshiko slammed her hand against the console as the planet destroyer launched past the moon. The commander seethed, grinding her teeth, all to steady herself on leaden legs from the weightless feeling that sank inside of her.

    "Wave Motion Cannon, 60%!"

    "What are your orders?"

"It's climbing slowly!" Came the engineering crew. "We have to hold! If we fire it now it won't make a dent!"

    "Commander!"

Kenshiko stood over the bridge view, then turned.

"Get me down to the closest conduit."

"What do you plan to do?"

"We'll make up the difference ourselves."

In a blink the Tiger Master disappeared, her pace slowed only by the excruciatingly mechanical movements of the elevators. She hailed the Gotengo and Coldlight repeatedly, but under the veil of energy heard nothing but static.

    _____

The energy torrent from the giant's eye flew like a riptide through space, and as the beam approached it all but magnified the difference between them, their ships enduring insects before a colossus. Ochazuke stood there, his meditation field in sync with the instruments, and with it the span of his techniques.

Hoyokusen, the Wings of the Phoenix school, swept out and mindgled with the Dreadnaught's eyebeam, capturing the wild flow and directing it to a single point: The spinning bow drill of the Gotengo! The ventral bores, spinning like cutting saws, redirected the excess about it, deflecting it from their wingmen aboard the Coldlight as they redirected and subsumed the captured energy! And as the rifle-bored drill began to spin, constructed through Ishiki Toei, Ochazuke built a layer of energy over the drill as it turned, accumulating the greater portion of mass as it expanded, first twice the size, then ten times, then gradually winding and capturing more and more of the beam as it flew forward.

"EDF Command, this is Gotengo. Apologies for the late response."

Kenshiko exited the elevator crossing the span towards the power plant of the Wave Motion Cannon on this rung of the Orbital Ring.

    "About time."

"I am presently engaged, you understand...but I need your help. Can you see? I've picked out a target."

Even from this distance, she could sense the shape of the technique as she rolled up her sleeves.

"Understood," she said, standing before the energy conductor engines, hands before her in the orthodox stance she herself had taught him. "With the entire station behind us, it won't be a minute."

The Dreadnaught let lose a soundless roar that still screamed inside their brains, bursting blood vessels in some from its sheer psychic presence. It wave sits arms and sends a legion of smaller parasite drones towards the two ships.

    The Coldlight comms them.

“We’ve got the little ones! Keep going Gotengo!!!”

The Coldlight unleashes it’s newest weapon, the Pale Star, and let’s fly with hundreds of white lasers that bend around the Gotengo and slam or pin the encroaching horde of drones as best they can.

The situation on Ruco seemed hopeless. The Super Saiyans were being toyed with and Maiz was all alone in her efforts to keep Cancer's minions from absconding with the three children. Soldier after soldier fell from the sky, either grievously injured or outright dead at the hands of the Arcosian vampires. If there was a sliver of hope, no one knew where to find it or how to exploit it. They were fighting for their lives; just for the chance to barely survive to see the next minute, much less actually win.

Still, they fought on. To give up and capitulate was the ultimate act of cowardice. There wasn't a word of "coward" in the ancient Saiyan language because cowards didn't live very long in their society. They were either slain by their tribe or killed off by one of the seemingly innumerable wild animals that competed with the Saiyans for food. It wasn't as lethal in modern Saiyan society, but cowards in the army ranks were practically ostracized and relegated to the status of "civilian".

In short, no one fighting was a coward, so giving up wasn't an option. It was fight or die; in many cases, it was fight and die.

Then, a spark, a small twinkle in the never-ending darkness that was the battle with Cancer's forces. It was a feeling many of them were familiar with, from when the Just Saiyan arrived on Ruco just a year ago to help with Tundra's forces. Those that were familiar accepted his help once again without hesitation. It didn't matter that he felt different than before; they knew they needed all the help they could get.

Sarada knew who it was immediately. E Bekon? So, he decided to help. She also silently accepted his help. As did Maiz, if only to bolster her attempts at getting the children back.

On other Saiyan worlds, a code black had been sounded. Everyone knew of the dire situation on Ruco; the worlds had been sending any soldiers they could spare through the portals in hopes of giving them much needed backup. So, when they felt the same feeling of the empathic boon sent by E Bekon, they were unsure of what it was, but accepted anyway. If nothing else, they could each help in their own way, even if they weren't able to physically fight alongside their Rucoan kin.

Rutaba and Pinach get TK slammed together, knocked out as the two Arcoasian (having avoided the beam fired at them) decide to take them as….playthings later. The two Arcosians take their captives and disappear in a red shimmer.

    ——————

The Arcosian screams, the children dropping to the ground as the psychic spike rips into his mind and suddenly his body erupts into Creational fire, burning away to dust.

Before Maiz can understand why, she watches as two more arrive suddenly and pick the children up, flying away with them at speeds she cannot match.

    ——————

Her own discs get blasted apart as she does the same go theirs.

The Arcoasian suddenly stop, and in one motion turn and look towards Maiz’ direction. They cock their heads and then super speed vanish towards two more of their comrades that are flying away.

Body healed, energy restored... though her pride was no doubt still wounded from her encounter with this Cancer.

Dropping to Super Saiyan to conserve energy and stamina, Tasure nodded at Avoca. "Worked like a charm, it seems. Still, useful as that armor is, don't neglect to keep improving your skill with Unlimited Eat Works, without it... or any of your other techniques, either." It's not that she was opposed to using armor and weapons--she wore her saiyan armor to this day and was familiar with most melee weapons--but in the end, the most reliable weapons were a trained body, skill honed to perfection, and practiced techniques.

Or at least that's how she saw it.

"...that being said, before we do anything else, do you want to go check up on Parsley?"
Avoca thought about it for a moment, then sighed and shook her head. She could practically hear her wife chastising her for wasting time checking up on her when their twins were in mortal danger. "No. She's just bitch about me wasting time seeing about her. Let's do it."

Pinach and Rutaba's golden hair returned to their natural black hue as they lost consciousness. They were picked up and taken without trouble.

Maiz was helpless as the three children were snatched up out of the air by two more and carried away at speeds she couldn't hope to match. Even if they were much faster than her, that wasn't going to stop her from trying. Her aura roared to life and she flew after them as fast as she could.

Kumara wriggled in her captor's grasp, completely unable to break free. "Leave me alone!" she whined, banging on his forearm with her little baby fists. She unleashed another burst of Hakai.

Mais and Garnish could only struggle helplessly as the other Arcosian carried them away. "Mom, help us!"

Sarada frowned, feeling both confusion and apprehension when her opponents suddenly stopped fighting and flew off. "What?"

    'Sarada, they have the children!'

Maiz's words echoed in her head. Her heart nearly stopped beating. "No.... NOOOOOO!!" She exploded into motion, a singular golden streak of light as she desperately chased after the four Arcosians. One of them had her daughter. Someone please do something! She couldn't even fire any blasts after them out of fear of hitting one of the kids. All she could do was chase after them and hope they didn't have some kind of teleportation ability or portal spells they could use to get off the planet. "I WON'T LET YOU TAKE MY DAUGHTER!!"
