    That's not entirely true. I just sold a Batman #1 1:200 Capullo Sketch Variant that I got for $100 on the day of release for $750. For the most part this is true but not always. I have a 2nd that I will not give up though. Perhaps I'll regret it but since Batman #1 first prints are routinuely going for $80-90 on eBay I think I'll be in good shape if I sell it in 5 or 10 years.

    It also depends which artist you invest into. The Alex Ross variant will hold its' worth...
