Batman - Maybe a many deaths of Batman remake running through all the bat books.

A Harley Quinn silent gag-strip issue, Green lanterns encounter a race that uses a different mode of communication, Superman/LOSH using Kryptonian and Interlac, Ravagers/omega men in the silent vacuum of space....

I love silent issues, but jeez, you gotta have a good writer/artist team in sync with one another or it's a complete mess.

You make an excellent point. It is a gamble, even with a wonderful idea as some of those that have been offered are. In my opinion, the silent issue is a gimmick and the silent month screams gimmicky. I'd think a few issues as opposed to a blanket theme would work better and have far more of a chance for critical success. Stuff like a Flash running faster than sound so hearing dialogue would be totally different could also be a good fit.

With regular monthly books going for $5 a pop, I want every bit of value I can get out of them. These days I'd feel ripped off if I bought a comic with no words.

The issue where Damian Wayne died many years ago (maybe not the exact issue) was a silent issue I believe. I may be wrong but I remember something like it. It was simply amazing. Very moving issue.

This sounds like an awesome idea to me. It is a total gimmick, but so much goodness could come out of it.
