Default Scorch (Scotty Fischer) Appreciation Thread 2021

    Scott_Fischer_Prime_Earth_001.jpg

He's honestly hot (NO PUN INTENDED, and he's 16, which is legal in NJ.) He reminds me of a teenage Moltar combined with Clint Barton (blonde hair, and also uh... his death reminds me of Iron Man S2E6.) Speaking of his death, I really wish they showed inside him, but I had a whole thread about that once and people are accusing me of being a serial killer.

Anyway, he was called Blaze in the Pre-52 and died of leukemia. The New 52 version looks better, because of Ivan Reis' art skills.

If he was featured in a cartoon, Chris Cox should voice him (he voiced Hawkeye in UMvC3.)

Show your Scorch love. He gets no love.

Heh, the only Scorch I'm familiar with is Aubrey Sparks. Who hasn't been seen recently IIRC.

Another good character that was wasted by DC.

Yeah, I wish more of his personality was shown, because to me, he seems like a Boy Scout. In my works featuring Scorch, he acts more like Hawkeye (sarcastic, insistent.) I actually have an idea of what if Atomica was a traitor among the Crime Syndicate, and she adopts Scorch and goes inside him to cure his leukemia (we see inside.) Chris Cox would be the best actor to voice Scorch. Dunno about who would play him if he were featured in the live-action Doom Patrol series.

Now I find myself pondering what'd happen if he met Aubrey Sparks.

To be honest, he never had more developtment. Never had the chance. Twice.

That's why in my DCU, he's part of the Doom Patrol and acts like DC's Clint Barton. He still dies, though. (It's his New 52 death, but we see inside.)
