One of the last truly fearless comedians. Getting fired from SNL for (justifiably) ripping on OJ Simpson is one of, if not the, biggest abominations in that show's history.

Norm was a living legend. His weekend update for SNL was amazing back in the day. He use to literally sit there and just laugh at himself and it was wonderful.

Surprised and sad to hear of Norm Macdonald's passing. His lowkey type of humor could be hit or miss, but he always played it cool.
His SNL sketches were great. I'll always remember him as Burt Reynolds o Celebrity Jeopardy. Or his grifting of a church's McDonald's and money when Quentin Tarantino hosted. Or his imitation of Quentin Taratino!
Still, his impression of David Letterman was memorable. "Uhhh, ya got any gum?" is something I occassionally say:
"I am a man of peace."
"A man of peace...who fights like ten tigers."

I loved his guest appearances on other shows, such as Howard Stern's radio show. RIP Norm.

As someone said on my FB , "Norm was a Comedian's , comedian." He was just good with quick replies and more. He was ..perfect. I loved his Norm Show that ran 50+ episodes. Sadly for Norm he never got his dream syndication (he wanted 88 episodes so he'd get paid). In all he was really good and that many are given his due right now. He should have gotten it sooner.
My favorite Norm McDonald memory is being on Conan in the early 2000's.
