I really wanted to like Way of X, but....I just didn't. I am gonna get this for completions sake but I can't say I am enthused at all. Everyone is so unlikable and Kurt is just all over the place.

Agreed, I want to complete the story but I’ve been struggling to like it as a whole. I’ve whined at length about the characterizations, especially Kurt.
And every time I see Kurt being referred to as a priest by Spurrier I give a deep sigh.

Oh boy, let's start the "They're all soulless clones" discussion again! Cause here Legion is pretty much confirming they didn't care about that little thing when they caused this. And if that's all it takes to dispel Onslaught from each mind, lol.

Maybe I'm alone in this but I think this preview looks good.

You're not alone. This preview looks great! Spurrier is firing off on all cylinders.

Doesn't this disprove them being clones? If they were just clones, why would the in between time that's not backed up matter?

Although it is not explained how it matters , maybe it's technological since the memories are stored digitally on cerebro there must be code that strings them together. Think about it if the resurrected had recall of time that they shouldn't have during the time the husk is incubating for example it would be very hard to explain how that is and would make cerebro redundant. It is a neat way of fictionalising to create a method to necessitate cerebro. I think the offcuts or whatever they are termed, are 1.either created by a disconnect between the blindspots and could be that the brain tries to fill in the gaps to make more sense of missing pieces ( just as our brains form patterns to make sense of otherwise random data) or 2. this sentience or 'extra stuff' that Onslaught thrives on comes from storing so many different minds together in one space in effect they seek connection to each other. That's my take anyway

I feel like anybody who still thinks they're just clones, especially after the whole bit from X of Swords where dying in Otherworld wipes their minds, is just never going to be convinced otherwise.

I won’t pre-judge, like Proxy, I’ve not been as enthusiastic about Kurt’s characterisation as I wanted to be. I just don’t think Si sees Kurt the way I do, but I’ve found the concepts and ideas in the book interesting.
I’m on holiday in rural Wales next week so I might not get internet until Friday.

I agree this splash page is great! Bob has been on top form throughout. I’ll try and keep an open mind, there were parts of the story I’ve enjoyed and found interesting. It’s been a bit hit and miss for me so I hope to enjoy it’s conclusion.

The story is interesting and needed to be told. I think I would have enjoyed it more if Kurt hadn’t been involved.
