Must be related to this from #780.
Oh, and most interestingly, I see Fajardo Jr makes a comeback. I missed him
Just came from WW 781
Ummm interesting. Seems like, as suspected, the back-up will focus on Artemis and the Bana Mighdall. They get so few exposition that this story feels like something totally worth it. Curiously, the tone of the story reminds me a lot of Nubai and the Amazons: both have a main character trying to do her best, both have new recruits coming to the society, and both serve as worldbuilding of the Amazons. And, well, Bana-Mighdall really needed a little of that. As well as Artemis getting a little spot. This is definitively a Golden Age for the wonderfandom.
Btw, Artemis seems way less "white", which I thank a lot because it allways felt a little weird that she was the only Bana white
I thought it was kinda meh. Gorgeous art, though. Artemis has never looked better. And I loves me some manticores.
It was basically a world-building dumb on how the Bana get more Amazons into their ranks, hopefully more character work will be present in the next issue. Artemis looked cool as hell with that Wesekh neckless, though.

Yeah, story was doing a deliberate contrast to the first Nubia issue.
Artemis looked great though.
It was a fun first issue for them though opening it with welcoming new sisters who get new names is a little to on point for me.
The Bana aren't immortal correct? Or at least the new recruits? Or are we supposed to believe that they have a ritual that is able to turn them into full blown Amazons with super strength/immortality?
We need a redo of the Bana origins as I dont even know which stories are in continuity nowadays.
