I kinda liked Days of Future Present. It was the first time I liked an adult version of Franklin Richards, and his relationship with Rachel was handled pretty good in that storyline.

YEP, UNCANNY X-MEN #141 AND #142 ARE ALL THERE IS OF THE ORIGINAL DOFP X-MEN STORY AND ALL YOU NEED TO READ. NOTHING MORE, NOTHING LESS.

If you like it and want to know more about that future timeline which is called Earth-811 or those characters, then you can check out stories like Days of Future Present and such but those are just continuations written years later and are not part of the original story or required to understand the original story in UXM #141 & #142

Hopefully this will help you. It can get a little confusing sometimes when people start going off topic and talking about sequel stories and such, sorry about that. But yeah, hope you'll like the story

You may as well read the trade mentioned earlier in the thread. If you just try to buy the 2 issues you will need to part with at least $100 for copies in decent condition. Worth every cent in my opinion, especially when you put it in context of the other (non X-Men) stories that were coming out around that time. Not sure if they are available digitally.
