The original Legends of the Dark Knight lasted from 1989 to 2007, dedicated to tell untold stories set in Batman's past.

In 1998, Legends of the DC Universe was launched with a similar premise, except broadening the scope from a single character, to the entire toy box of DC characters.

This would be a great opportunity to bring back older fans jaded by the current direction DC is taking and showcasing the work of classic creators who haven't been given work in quite some time.

The possibilities are endless of stories that might bring back former comic book fans, similar to Convergence, without the contrived crossover element.
