Well, let's start with the big one.
Welcome to the MCU* Mr. Brock.
*presumably exclusively on Sonys side but he did get pulled into the MCU! It counts!

It may just be a *nod* to other movies. Honestly, I wouldn’t put it past Sony to put Venom in NWH, which is why Venom 2 had to come out before it.
I guess Sony is definitely banking on a Spider-Man vs. Venom movie for Venom 3.
The entire movie has pretty much leaked online end credits inclusive.
I hope Sony allow the Marvel guys to handle Venom in Spider-man 3 (if he's going to be in it).
So far, the Venom movies have been aggressively average and don't have the polish the MCU films have. The character could do with a live action "tune up".
What makes this part of the MCU, exactly?
"The Marvel EIC Chair has a certain curse that goes along with it: it tends to drive people insane, and ultimately, out of the business altogether. It is the notorious last stop for many staffers, as once you've sat in The Big Chair, your pariah status is usually locked in." Christopher Priest
Hmmm. Part of me says yea. But Marvel is such a Machine right now I don't know. I get your point, but I don't know. There is still a ton of stuff out there that they can mine. Many of their biggest characters are still waiting in the wings. Not so much good guys. But they have a lot of incredible bad guys, and if they do Fantastic Four or X-men in anyway decent form the possibilities are massive. Doctor Doom alone if done right which they never have could have massive implications and huge appeal. There is still a ton ton of good material.
Well, here's hoping we get that giant white spider emblem on Venom because of this, still find it jarring he doesn't have it.
