Liked how Jace took his face mask off to scare the crap out of a thug and make the guy think there’s a chance he could be killed. That was clever.

Nice to know that he's referred to as the "Second Batman" in-universe.

I could see the Magistrate and the Peacekeepers being the big bad of a Jace-centered movie or show. Along with some newer villians like Mr. Worth, the Underbroker, or some obscure ones like the Trigger Twins etc. Ridley would probably create a few and I'm hoping they are more appealing than Arkadine.

I don't see them going full future state but you never know. If Pattinson doesn't stick around for future movies, they could have Jace as a backup. There are other choices but this isn't their thread .

So Jace-y poo showed up in the Batman issue today. Think he'll make any more appearances in Tynion's run?

Nah, Tynion’s run is almost over and Williamson will be taking Bruce out of Gotham. There may be a brief meeting where Bruce tracks Jace down and basically interrogates him about his intentions before leaving Gotham. That’s the only interaction between the two I can foresee.

Yeah I expect them to meet for maybe a few pages in Fear State Omega and that is it. Ridley has done a pretty decent job so far of keeping Jace to his own corner of Gotham to handle things his way while also reasonably concluding that any general huge gotham threat can be left to the Bat-family

Solid. Art is a huge step up from Second Son (although Copiel bails after one issue). But if you want a “grounded” Batman story that’s not an early years Bruce I think it’s been enjoyable so far.

Agreed. The 2nd issue of I am is easily the best comic by Ridley so far.

Jason as Jace’s equivalent to Gordon is actually a pretty cool idea in Future State Gotham.

Read IAB #3, damn Jace tortured himself to learn how to endure? Hardcore. He still also clearly wants his dad and mom’s love and approval something that surprises and disappoints him. Actually like that, having his parents still around and in his life is a big difference between him and the other Bats, I hope they don’t kill either of his parents off. The Fox Family drama is as entertaining as Jace himself to me.

Occurred to me while I was thinking about why Ridley/DC what’s to keep the Magistrate as Jace’s “starter” Rogues: They’re basically a suped up version of the crooked cops Bruce starts out fighting in his early days. Over in Future State they even had Red Hood as the one good Peacemaker working within the system to help Jace. Makes for a nice parallel now that I understand why.
