Oh, I agree.
But I noticed it says "writers Ivan Cohen and Sholly Fisch", and from the description in the article it sounds like each will be writing separate stories. So while I would definitely trust Sholly Fisch, it remains to seen how Ivan Cohen's writing works for this.
I am thrilled.

I respectfully disagree.
Classic Scooby is a character of the 70s (or late 60s). The 70s design is beloved 80s, 90s and 00s generations. The 70s version is the one that most fameously interacted with Batman.
Therefore, using a classic bronze age Batman (Adams/Aparo influenced) is the right way to go.
March 27th is this coming Saturday, but I'm waiting for the printed version due out April 13th.
Makes perfect sense to me. They're are both detectives, but the real question is....
will the monsters be men in costumes....or will they be real live ghouls.

After BTAS, one of my earliest exposures to Batman was the old 70's team-ups between Scooby Doo and Batman and Robin in The New Scooby Doo Movies.
Also...time-travel to the Year One era? Purple gloves? Looks like an exciting story steeped in Batman lore!
I kinda wish we could see this take on the Batsuit in other books...
