Hey Mods! I need a "Like" button!
There came a time when the Old Gods died! The Brave died with the Cunning! The Noble perished locked in battle with unleashed Evil! It was the last day for them! An ancient era was passing in fiery holocaust!
I'd like to be
Under the sea
In an octopus' garden
In the shade
He'd let us in
Knows where we've been
In his octopus' garden
In the shade
I'm using the French edition because the trade dress on the US version obscures too much of this glorious artwork.

I've seen a couple of my favorites already. I'm sure someone else is going to post a pretty famous cover soon, so just to mix things up a bit...

I am surprised at the number of painted covers. Not good or bad, just unexpected.

Frank Frazetta or his estate have profited very well from his painted covers for the Warren publications since James Warren always allowed him to keep the paintings they used. When one comes up for auction they go for millions.
If it hasn't been used already, painted covers would be a good contest
