I didn't even know they were doing a Prequel it definitely looks better than Exorcist: Believer

Damien's mother was a Jackal we saw the animal's skeleton in the grave next to Thorn's son's grave and in Omen II it was revealed Damien had Jackal DNA.

This looks like a prototype Omen?

    we'll see how it goes.
So is it a full modern reboot prequel? That is, the events take place "today", and not circa 1970, since the original film's events took place circa 1976?

...I'm wondering if they have already telegraphed the plot in that the protagonist woman becomes impregnated, and possibly gives birth to, uh, devil-kid, at the end.

I never saw the 2006 version with Liev Schreiber, and I never saw the short lived TV version that aired circa 2016..

I wonder will there be the return of some similar tropes as the original films, with insanely bizarre accidents and animal attacks coming against anyone who suspects the truth.

the 2006 film was a straight up remake of the 76 film just with the signs of the coming of the Antichrist changed to fit the 21st century and the wife's death changed from being pushed out the window to using a syringe to put air in her IV.
