Soo Uwe Boll directed another film, I see.

Which looks like Box Office Poison.

Whomever the Casting Director is, needs to be smacked in the face.

That guy is supposed to be Leon Kennedy?

That other guy is Chris Redfield?

    Get the **** outta here.

Counterargument: Despite the cast from the previous films more closely resembling the characters, those movies weren't good for the most part.

I don't need a masterpiece, I just want something more closely related to the source material.

The movie has the itchy tasty message in it. This movie is cutting deep with the Easter eggs. I appreciate the faithfulness but this movie doesn't look good.

Resident Evil 2002 looks better than this film. And that came out over 19 years ago.

Yeah, it looks like it's literally adapting the first Resident Evil game.

But shockingly the 2002 version looks better than this.

It seems like they're trying to cover 1 and 2 in one movie with Leon and Claire in there.

Yeah, it's like they are taking parts of the both games and squashing them together.

I hope it turns out better than it looks. It looks really low budget.

It looks like this movie was shot with a Playstation One, that's how extremely low budget it looks.

Does Capcom not care about their fans?

International trailer has some different scenes: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VjtZ02DZL_k

Looks like budget for this movie was 40M, same as the final Paul WS Anderson film.

That would be a budget twice or more higher than what Blumhouse movies cost (and BH Tilt's Upgrade was super cheapo-efficient at that), and around what the last Conjuring and James Wan's Malignant cost. As far as I remember the only kind of big studio horror movies that would require higher budgets would have giant creatures on it or sci-fi settings like Alien movies.

Haven't watched the trailer and not really judging until release but based on that, I think the biggest concern is gluing games 1 and 2. That's potentially a lot of material for 1 movie.

It actually is low budget from what i have heard, also there are two trailers with the international one showing more content that confirms Birkin and his family are in it, Vickers is confirmed as well as how he dies, Ashford Twins as well.

But the thing is this, the trailers show that the people behind this are trying to be respect the lore...but for me at least, the visual effects, the actors chosen, the costume designs...they are not something i can say that i will pay to see in a theater.

I mean from what i saw Wesker may not be a villain in this, there is no Barry or Rebecca and this looks and sound like it is completely Claire's story and not Claire and Leon, in fact the more i see Leon the more i hope he dies in this because i am just not happy with what is going on with the character in this.

I watched the trailers, you have no idea how right you are about that.
