    Remember that law added in the 90s that all main networks must have so many education hours a week for kids? They shoved them all to saturday morning putting pbs stuff kids would never watch killing saturday mornings? Wgn did that to bozo. That included removing all the cartoons! Bozo showed everything from looney tunes, to popeye to woody woodpecker, jetsons, gijoe, transformers, jem, and others!

    It didn't help cookie and the wizard would retire around that time also getting replaced by new cast. These helped kill bozo.

    Of course the grand prize was a huge thing for 80s kids. Return of the jedi, gobots, transformers, he-man and tons more 80s toys won. It's worth watching those old youtube clips just to see the 80s toys!

    While I wouldn't bet my last dime on it?

    WGN getting into the morning news racket probably sealed the show's fate to a larger degree than some of those other elements.

    Sure, those things didn't help. That said, it felt kind of like the writing was on the wall.
