Maybe it’s cuz I watched some of the original the other day, and realized it’d been 25 years since it came out, but yeah, I’m okay w. this and will def. watch.

The killer will probably be the long lost love child of a one night stand between Dewey and Sydney. lol

Despite 4 not doing much for me (tho it wasn't bad per se), I'm still oddly excited about this.

One one hand I'm excited, on the other I was actually fairly happy with 4 being the end because the big three all lived through it. That probably won't be the case this time.

Or we find out Stu and Tatum had a kid before the first film.

    I forgot we even had a 4.

I thought this as well immediately.
I think restorative nostalgia is the number one issue with comic book fans.
A fine distinction between two types of Nostalgia:

Reflective Nostalgia allows us to savor our memories but accepts that they are in the past
Restorative Nostalgia pushes back against the here and now, keeping us stuck trying to relive our glory days.

Man, I might have to sit through this just for Dewey's Roger Murtaugh.

    Interesting.....I liked 1 & 4, and didn't care for 2 & 3.

Actually, the more I recall....4 (which I have to rewatch) was good, clever. Though I think I like 2, 3, & 4 about equally.

I give the franchise an A at least for some consistency.
