Default TV characters who just disappeared from the show

Lots of actors leave a tv show and usually there is some explanation as to where their character went. Sometimes the actor is even replaced with another actor (Darrin Stephens in Bewitched).

But some characters are just written off the show with no mention or explanation. They're just gone.

What are some examples or personal favorites?

Donna's sister in that 70's show.

Pretty much no explanations given lol. They even make a joke about that in one episode like "eh, didn't have you a sister?".

The classic answer: Chuck Cunningham. Not only was he never again mentioned but the Cunninghams actually referred to Richie and Joanie as their only children.

    Detective Daniels on Brooklyn 99…:

She was introduced right alongside Scully and Hitchcock…and then was never seen or mentioned again.

Beaver Cleaver's classmates Larry Mondello and Judy Hensler from Leave It To Beaver.

They were regular supporting characters who added humor to the show. Then one day, they show Miss Lander's classroom. Larry and Judy are gone and replaced by the much inferior Gilbert and Penny without any explanation. Beaver even says a few times later that he's going over to Larry's house.

Renee Montoya and Crispin Allen on Gotham. The former was introduced as Barbara ex and hated Gordon guts and Allen was one of the Gordon's early supporters. They disappear halfway into season 1 and never appear again

Jed Allen who played Don Craig on Days of Our Lives. He suddenly had to go mail a letter and was never seen again on the show.

Maybe he's with Dr. Neil Curtis who went to do rounds and never came back on Days of Our Lives.

That first season was an alternate universe, I'm sure of it...

Yeah, that was very much a WTF, one of many, for that show.

Yes indeed. Joseph Gallison was never seen again. Those sick patients must really be keeping him busy!

Fun Fact: On the show, "Neil Curtis" was a made up name of the character who was really Alan Jackson when he did bad things. When he changed to the side of good, he also changed his name to Neil Curtis.

Topanga had an older sister in S1 of Boy Meets World.
    And then she didn’t.
