My gut answer is purple but he's been pinkish-purple, purplish-red, and just red.

A) It's a color that the human eye doesn't recognize, so we all see it different shades of red/pink/purple.
B) Kalanorians hue shifts seasonally, or due to health issues or as a result of age. It's not polite to ask which.
