Let's see what surprises have this mini.
"Never assign to malice what is adequately explained by stupidity or ignorance."
"Great stories will always return to their original forms"
"Nobody is more dangerous than he who imagines himself pure in heart; for his purity, by definition, is unassailable." James Baldwin
I didn't like it. I don't think the plot progressed much and I was really bothered by the bad characterization, especially Arthur's. It's the classic bad writing to force the two characters to clash even when it doesn't really make sense.
Is this whole series based on the fact that they're both blondes with facial hair and kinda look alike? Is the story just a reworked plot from "Sister Sister?" (or "Double Trouble" for the boomers (or "The Patty Duke Show" for the real OGs...))

The last page was pretty cool but if I didn't already have it on my LCS pull list, I wouldn't continue with the series. Love the idea of an AM/GA team-up though...just not sure this is what I'm interested in reading.
I thought this was pretty blegh. I'm okay with the ... well, I struggle to say "high" concept, but the conceptual angle, but nothing was really done to make the idea saleable. The premise doesn't have be quitting immediately or anything, and the characterization, while bland, isn't total-write-off either, but there's virtually no hook other than the premise, and I don't know that it has legs, particularly, especially when immediately even just the concept of "Hey, an Ollie/Arthur team-up" already intrinsically has a good premise without hijinx.
I might read the next issue, but that's going to seriously require me to remember it exists next month, and life's a busy thing, it's pretty forgettable. Kind of a big week of "oh this might be a cool concept" only to read kind of craptacular first issues. Thank god The Long Halloween Special was good.
Retro315 no more. Anonymity is so 2005.
