Nothing is safe
Listen, I completely understand that today's Batgirl news has rocked Fandom. But there's no chance a $300 million film gets shelved, no matter how crazy the star allegedly is. Flash will get released to theaters.
Time to replace Ezra with Fastback.
That was a unsubstantiated source online who said it was closer to $300 million. Initially it was $100 million. But I wouldn't be surprised if it was closer now to $200 million. $300 figure is likely just a rumour.

The Ezra Miller neverending story is just....crazy. WB has to do something besides simply releasing the film and cutting bait. Batgirl gets one treatment and this gets another.
Things I love: Batman, Superman, AEW, old films, Lovecraft
Grant Morrison: “Adults...struggle desperately with fiction, demanding constantly that it conform to the rules of everyday life. Adults foolishly demand to know how Superman can possibly fly, or how Batman can possibly run a multibillion-dollar business empire during the day and fight crime at night, when the answer is obvious even to the smallest child: because it's not real.”
I think this gets another treatment not only because they have invested significantly more money into it but also because given the nature of the source material they are mining it will most likely be the film that helps them hopefully build their future line up off of.
It's apples to oranges, on one hand you have a project that not only cost more but is the blueprint to their future and on the other hand you have a lower production cost and is a hanger on not the big tent pole.
