Trial of the Amazons: Wonder Girl #1 by Jeff Dekal
Trial of the Amazons: Wonder Girl #1 by Jeff Dekal
A lot of gorgeous covers coming soon. Death of an Amazon? It better not be Donna Troy(again...).
Currently(or soon to be) Reading: Alan Scott: Green Lantern, Batman/Superman: World's Finest, Fire & Ice: Welcome to Smallville, Green Arrow, Green Lantern, Jay Garrick: The Flash, Justice Society of America, Power Girl, Superman, Shazam, Titans, Wesley Dodds: Sandman, Wonder Woman, & World's Finest: Teen Titans.
I think Phillipus would be the best option sadly. They could kill off Cassie and that's one way to pass on the WG title.....which now that i write it i can see it happening.
I think will be one of the prominent amazons of Young Diana, Hellene, Clio, maybe Penelope, or one of the new one.

It's a 2-part "Trial of the Amazons: Wonder-Girl" - so #2 may appear in April.
Joelle Jones called the series "Wonder Girl: Trial of the Amazons" on her Twitter - an interesting distinction. Maybe there was some weighing of whether to use the regular title. It's actually not even an expanded $4.99 issue as almost all specials are, and as "Trial of the Amazons" itself is - it's just a $3.99 book. I think it's just the Wonder Girl book, and wouldn't be surprised if the title goes through more changes. The retitling is probably to get more buyers who are following the crossover. The first issue (and maybe the second?) will be drawn by Joelle again, not just written.
For the solicit of Trial of the Amazons: Wonder Girl #1, DC just tosses out the sentence "INTERLOCKING MAIN COVERS TO COMMEMORATE THIS BIG MOMENT IN WONDER GIRL HISTORY!" What is interlocking with what? They don't say, with no mention of #2 yet. Sloppy solicit. Joelle's Twitter explains it with her posting of the interlocking covers in b&w.
Wonder Girl #7 has been delayed to 1/25, while #8 is still also showing it's original date of 1/25 (and has the same Jeff Dekal variant as Trial of the Amazons: Wonder Girl #1). I guess #8 will actually arrive in February.
Wouldn't be the first time DC has solicited the same cover for 2 different issues. It's happened 2 other times recently:
Static #3b cover was also solicited as the cover for #4a
Justice League Incarnate #3b (Dr. Multiverse variant) was actually released as the 1:25 cover for #1.
