Covers don't mean anything. It has to be Hippolyta since she's got the most death flags around her and if it's a battle for the throne then it makes the most sense to kill her off.

Another option is Io. She has an established connection with Diana and Nubia. Killing her off wouldn't be problematic like it would be for Phillipus. Not minor like Clio and not too major like Donna/Cassie/Nubia. It would hurt just enough for it to matter both to the audience and the to the principle characters in this cross over.

That Hippolyta is on the cover of TotA #2 means that she is not the one who dies at the beginning of the saga.
Cloonrad also said that they are interested in developing what Hippolyta learned in the world of man.
I don't remember why or what I read that the idea occurred to me that someone would die at the beginning of the saga (Phillipus? Clio? Hellene? Faruka?) and someone more important would die at the end (Cassie? Hippolyta? Donna?)

Correct me if I'm wrong but, isn't Cassie one of the few Wonder-family members not to have died at least once. Hippolyta died, Diana died (several times), Donna died, Artemis died. It's almost like a badge of honor at this point. Heck of an initiation ritual...

Cassie must die so that she can return with a new costume, codename and powers. It would be a perfect opportunity to "reboot" her.

Cassie 'dying' but reborn in Olympus and eventually making her way back to earth would be a good use of her in an ongoing. Diana visited different realms but Cassie could just be focused on the Greek Gods. A lot of what Azz did with WW in his run (daugther of Zeus, Ares as the mentor/uncle figure, the journey to Hades) would have worked so much better with Cassie.

Mala is petrified, it is not clear yet if those who Medusa petrified die or the "spell" can be reversed.

I still don't understand why everyone was on the alert for Yara and trying to find her, and don't understand exactly who was attacking who or then teaming up, or why. Didn't more than 1 team get assigned on behalf of Themyiscira? Nor do I think these are mysteries. I just think it was confusing and will remain that way.
