I'm fine with Max Lord being involved as long as it's a team-up with everyone else. But I don't really see the point of two psychics (three if Liar Liar is there too) in the same story.
Conrad's quote to Polygon:
“Wonder Woman has a literal ISLAND full of interesting characters, along with various family members scattered across the globe,” Conrad told Polygon. “Trial of the Amazons presents a unique opportunity to either bring them together or fracture these relationships further. Diana finds herself as perhaps the only tenuous bond between them all, but she won’t be able to fix this alone.”
~I just keep swimming through these threads~
It’s a pretty good time to be a Wonder Woman fan.
“You see…the rest of them are soldiers. But [Wonder Woman] is an artist.”
I only support the made of clay origin.
I loved Maxwell Lord pre-Infinite Crisis. Since then, he has done nothing appealing to me and has brought no value to Wonder Woman's world. Neither has his daughter Liar Liar. Let Lord rest for a while, redeem him, and put him back in the Justice League's orbit.
Currently(or soon to be) Reading: Absolute Power, Batman/Superman: World's Finest, Birds of Prey, Green Arrow, Green Lantern, Justice Society of America, Shazam, Titans, & Wonder Woman.
One of the writers is Bellaire, so I have no doubt that Circe will appear in the event and somehow connect with Young Diana backup story.
I hope we see Circe wrangle herself a group of henchmen. Mikos would be fun to come back, and the other Perez-era bestiamorphs. Throw in some existing WW rogues that aren't commonly used and bam! You got a recipe for a good WW event.
Although my personal dream WW event has Cheetah as the lead villain, but I won't hold my breath.
