    You forget Johnny was naked:

    (Civil War II: Amazing Spider-Man#1)

And then Johnny throws a pillow at Peter's head, same pillow he was using to cover his own junk, this is such a gay porn scenario waiting to happen lol

Well, from what I briefly read of that bird girl Johnny's dating, she's Johnny's own Cindy (before she left ASM of course), so yeah lol

    Maybe y'all got Stockholm Syndrome
Slott writing is very Silver Age-esque, dude is basically nega-DeFalco lol. Just that DeFalco's Peter doesn't sound like an idiot.

I wasn't sure if he was naked, thanks for reminding, i bet that Peter burned that pillow later lol. Still won't be surprised if Johnny and Peter end singing "Guys Love" .

My reading order for post-OMD is absolute bananas because i kept going back and for with the order (i started to reead that period in like 2015), i usually got bore of a period and jumped to another, beetween Slott solo run and the BND rotating team. Eventually once i reached Superior Spider-Man i keep reading normally until Clone Conspiracy and quit out of boredom, didn't finish Slott run until Spencer's Last Remain storyline.

Johhny I can buy(subtext w/ other guys like Daken IIRC and a writer wanted him Bi IIRC) but Peter would make no sense. Also Johnny's "soulmate", romantic one that is was a alien girl and he cheated on her w/ another girl(Dom's to be wife) so I'd rather he figure out relationships before getting in another one.Btw the whole Johnny being a cheater thing was in Slott's run so you can thank him for that
Also w/ Tim and Jon I'd day Miles would be the perfect candidate.

That Spidey head in the art looks like they ripped it from Amazing Spider-Man 2.

Slott is weird 'cause, Big Time happens and his stuff clearly takes after silver age Spidey, Peter's science hero stuff returns, he loses the first battle but comes back to win later with some shit he came up with, thing is that, his stuff is silver age in steroids, because while Spidey coming up with that "anti-magnetic inverter" to defeat the Vulture back in ASM#2 can look like it was pushing it a bit, it's not that weird because silver age was like that in general, but Slott's stuff had Spidey coming up with a super badass suit that goes invisible and can completely isolate sound, that's going a bit too far lol.

And then, despite his blatant preference for silver age, Slott for some reason made Spidey too incompetent at times, and while silver age Spidey can be a fucking moron at times ("Oh no! Spider-Man had been sighted commiting crimes, and he has my powers! It can't be anyone else so it has to be me! I must be going insane!" is the dumbass logic ASM#13 follows), he generally was smart enough to come up with a way to win even after losing, Slott with annoying frequency made Spidey incompetent so the random team-up can do something to be useful.

I wasn't sure if he was naked, thanks for reminding, i bet that Peter burned that pillow later lol.
I originally thought both of them were naked, kinda disappointing it's just Johnny.

Still won't be surprised if Johnny and Peter end singing "Guys Love" :P.
Look man, I know their homo-erotism goes so far that Spidey once said he's pregnant with Johnny's baby, but I don't think it's far enough to sing that :P.

I have yet to finish Slott's run, only really read PI era to see what was up with CEO Peter, I only read a few random issues of the previous volume, I read a few parts of Superior, from before that, uh... Random issues lol.

I'm not sure if I'll ever have enough patience to read BND or Slott's run entirely, I like Spidey but I have standards... Even took me surprisingly long to read most of the ASM issues about Spider-Island, and yes, most, I didn't read the entire thing yet, and I'm definitely not reading the tie-ins, of those I only read Anya's 'cause I was reading the stuff she was in at the time lol.

Kinda funny that the Sisterhood of Wasp were more interesting in this random tie-in than in the entirety of her Araña run, and the Sisterhood of Wasp only showed up in like, two issues in that tie-in.

If we have to wait for Johnny to mature before he gets in a relationship, we'll be waiting for a while lol.

Btw the whole Johnny being a cheater thing was in Slott's run so you can thank him for that
Well, if Johnny cheating is unusual, guess we can say it's just Slott screwing up characterization, again lol.

Slott consider Peter a f$*ker that is to blame for most of the misery in his life, so he kind of goes to far in how much Peter screwed up, and that sort of went to his Spider-Man portrayal, but his Spider-Man really was just as competent as the plot needs it and ironically most of the competent moments was Peter usually powering througth phisical might over his brain.

Lol, you have to love the Silver Age logic, wasn't his master plan to beat Scorpion just to dodge his punches

CEO Peter is so damn boring, how boring you ask?, the best story of that particular version of Peter is a team up with Daredevil in Soule's run (issue 8 and 9 i think) that's how boring it was.

You have more standards than me lol, i just couldn't help myself, honestly the best story from BND is that one when Flash is going throught his physical therapy with Sha Shan, is actually kind of fun to see Flash going throught the duel process in reverse. I'm gonna be honest, i always tend to forget that Spider-Island had tie-ins, i never even thought about checking then out.

Also, Daken was Bi Purple Man, because that rapey behavior certanly wasn't limited to dudes.

Yeah, I said it many times, but Slott's writing style has plot over character, so if the plot needs a competent, smart Peter, we get Ends of the Earth, if it needs him to unable to walk without tripping for another hero to save his ass before he falls to the ground, we get Cindy.

Lol, you have to love the Silver Age logic, wasn't his master plan to beat Scorpion just to dodge his punches
It's even better than that, he came up with this master plan to beat Scorpion by dodging his punches, by losing to him before by not dodging Scorpion's punches, he completely forgot his agility just so Scorpion could get a few wins lol.

It would be less bad if Scorpion just managed to stay close to him to make it harder for Spidey to dodge, which's what happened on the first fight more or less, but the second one Spidey gets a surprise attack and... It's more or less the same thing, only on the third fight Spidey actually remembers he has a brain and slows down Scorpion, removed his tail and used the spider-sense to dodge Scorpion's attacks, which's nice he learned, but, fuck, he's been at this for a while and he conviniently faces super strong enemies at times, really should have a "don't tank attacks" strategies as the default... Well, at least he learned by the third fight.

CEO Peter is so damn boring, how boring you ask?, the best story of that particular version of Peter is a team up with Daredevil in Soule's run (issue 8 and 9 i think) that's how boring it was.
It was honestly funny since CEO Peter is the first of Slott's Spidey stuff I checked, and once I saw Horizon Labs, I was like "Wait, this is CEO Peter with less traveling around" lol.

It's kinda funny to notice that Horizon Labs is silver age Spidey on steroids, and that PI era is Horizon Labs on steroids... Horizon Labs was already pushing it, PI era went too far.

Anyways, decided to check out the issue:

    (Daredevil#9 vol 5)

Bromance between those two is so nice.

Spidey at times is a bit annoying here, but this was a nice team-up, and honestly, biggest reason why it works is that it's mostly not abusing PI's nonsense, PI is just the explanation of how Spidey is in China, and why he knows the place more or less (Which's redundant since he threw a spider-tracer on the briefcase), so it's basically "Spidey and Daredevil have an usual team-up, but this time in China".

It's also kind of a waste how it ends:

    https://i.imgur.com/Yuoldc5.png

    https://i.imgur.com/HXPhUSB.png

    https://i.imgur.com/5SvuDPg.png

Daredevil says he did a mind wipe on the planet, and Spidey's reaction is just "Oh, okay, here's the briefcase", I think Spidey should have more to say about this, while it shouldn't info dump what he did on OMIT (So Spidey's nonsensical story doesn't show up too much in a Daredevil story), specially since Daredevil knows Spidey did something to get his secret identity back, as ASM#600 showed:

    https://i.imgur.com/RvTrDHv.png

    https://i.imgur.com/u79tqov.png

I think Daredevil#9 should've had Spidey talk about Matt did a bit more, maybe mention how they both have that in common now or something, just feels weird to end it like that... Oh well.

You have more standards than me lol, i just couldn't help myself, honestly the best story from BND is that one when Flash is going throught his physical therapy with Sha Shan, is actually kind of fun to see Flash going throught the duel process in reverse.
BND has nice stuff once in a while, I just don't have the patience to put up with the boring stuff to get the better ones.

Maybe if watch something that lowers my standards for a while. I mean, there's the game Resident Evil: Revelations, I beat its main game so much I got sick of it, so I decided to play Raid mode to keep playing it, which has RPG elements, and I don't like RPG shit, but I played it just to keep play Rev1, well, that lowered my standards and made me play a Jojo RPG fan game afterwards (7th Stand User I think), and then a few years later, fact that I played that fan game is what made me play Persona 3 at all too lol.

So yeah, guess if I find something that annoys me for long enough, it'll lower my standards and I'll manage to put up with BND, not that I want that to happen .

Also, Daken was Bi Purple Man, because that rapey behavior certanly wasn't limited to dudes.
Huh, only remember the pheromone stuff being done on men, but then again I didn't check Daken's stuff much.

It was in Dark wolverine and they talked IIRC, he wasn't using pheromones but Yeah Daken isn't the best measure.

Nothing wrong w/ a flirty dialogue in a bromance.People who are very "macho" about this stuff are either in the closet or just insecure af, if anything this proves that Peter isn't in the closet(that and the sheer number of women he's kissed and being around for more than 50 years being straight).

    LMAO yeah

From what I've read of Torch and what his fans have said, it's OOC so Slott back at it again. Can't wait for Doom's ex-fiance wife to be pregnant w/ Johnny's kid....

You guys realise that since that FF issue takes place on Halloween, Beyond must be set in November? If Beyond was set before Halloween, then Peter wouldn't be able to meet up with Johnny - as he's currently hospitalised.

I guess but since Peter ages and deages throughout the story does it really matter ultimately?

Lol, Peter could be such a dumbass sometimes and it probably wasn't Lee's intention, althougth unlike Slott stuff, it never felt quite.as embarrasing, probably because of the tone of the Silver Age.

Those are my favorite pages of that team up, it's also not that great and the ending is just a waste, but man back then it was like finding the oasis in the dessert, you had no idea how boring was to follow Spider-Man back then, that Soule decent story was like some sort of salvation for me.It's also the point when his run on DD became interesting because man that first trade was boring.

Yeah i get it, is why i stopped during CC, it was like "why i'm doing this to myself" and didn't come back until Spencer started his run, i just couldn't deal with it anymore and i just felt like i was wasting my time.

Your standars are quite flexible then lol. If it serve for something, i think that BND is not as bad as say, 1995 (that year was garbage for any spider-man comic book fan) but i wouldn't call it better, is just different type of bad.

I had to read Daken's book for Dark Reign (back when it was obssesed with the Marvel croosovers/line changin stuff post-Civil War) and for a croosover with Wolverine Origins, i can confirm than yes Daken was just as rapey toward women, his first apperance is essentially him doing that.

Once in a while the embarassing stuff he went through were intentional jokes, like the costume he got in ASM#26 which didn't fit him lol.

Slott though, makes the dumb stuff he goes though happen without a humorous tone, and again, even if it had it, it happened way too much...

I've went through shit like that, don't think I did with Spidey, but yeah.

Soule's run, of the stuff I read, it could get pretty meh at times, like the "Mayor Murdock" arc, or hell, right before that one happened, cops managed to arrest a bunch of heroes somehow, when we had the likes of Spidey and Luke Cage there lol.

Your standars are quite flexible then lol. If it serve for something, i think that BND is not as bad as say, 1995 (that year was garbage for any spider-man comic book fan) but i wouldn't call it better, is just different type of bad.
It's basically a situation where I grow numb to bad shit so I tolerate it more, nowadays I don't let myself fall into that as much though, 'cause checking out here, I read 20 issues from X-Men Gold vol 2 years ago, and I thought that comic was really fucking bland, but it's surprising I read that much now, for comparison, I thought X-Men Red was better, but I didn't read more than two issues... So yeah, my standards ain't that flexible, not anymore .

Well, at least he goes for equality .

Yeah, still no idea how we made it through 10 years of Slott/BND in retrospective.

And Daken is just as if not more willing to use pheromones on women.Like I read the Dark wolverine run a week or 2 ago and in 20 some issues there are a lot of women he used it on, and his next run's first issue had him use it on women as well(haven't read that run yet though)
