Yeah, I said it many times, but Slott's writing style has plot over character, so if the plot needs a competent, smart Peter, we get Ends of the Earth, if it needs him to unable to walk without tripping for another hero to save his ass before he falls to the ground, we get Cindy.
It's even better than that, he came up with this master plan to beat Scorpion by dodging his punches, by losing to him before by not dodging Scorpion's punches, he completely forgot his agility just so Scorpion could get a few wins lol.
It would be less bad if Scorpion just managed to stay close to him to make it harder for Spidey to dodge, which's what happened on the first fight more or less, but the second one Spidey gets a surprise attack and... It's more or less the same thing, only on the third fight Spidey actually remembers he has a brain and slows down Scorpion, removed his tail and used the spider-sense to dodge Scorpion's attacks, which's nice he learned, but, fuck, he's been at this for a while and he conviniently faces super strong enemies at times, really should have a "don't tank attacks" strategies as the default... Well, at least he learned by the third fight.
It was honestly funny since CEO Peter is the first of Slott's Spidey stuff I checked, and once I saw Horizon Labs, I was like "Wait, this is CEO Peter with less traveling around" lol.
It's kinda funny to notice that Horizon Labs is silver age Spidey on steroids, and that PI era is Horizon Labs on steroids... Horizon Labs was already pushing it, PI era went too far.
Anyways, decided to check out the issue:
(Daredevil#9 vol 5)
Bromance between those two is so nice.
Spidey at times is a bit annoying here, but this was a nice team-up, and honestly, biggest reason why it works is that it's mostly not abusing PI's nonsense, PI is just the explanation of how Spidey is in China, and why he knows the place more or less (Which's redundant since he threw a spider-tracer on the briefcase), so it's basically "Spidey and Daredevil have an usual team-up, but this time in China".
It's also kind of a waste how it ends:

Daredevil says he did a mind wipe on the planet, and Spidey's reaction is just "Oh, okay, here's the briefcase", I think Spidey should have more to say about this, while it shouldn't info dump what he did on OMIT (So Spidey's nonsensical story doesn't show up too much in a Daredevil story), specially since Daredevil knows Spidey did something to get his secret identity back, as ASM#600 showed:

I think Daredevil#9 should've had Spidey talk about Matt did a bit more, maybe mention how they both have that in common now or something, just feels weird to end it like that... Oh well.
BND has nice stuff once in a while, I just don't have the patience to put up with the boring stuff to get the better ones.
Maybe if watch something that lowers my standards for a while. I mean, there's the game Resident Evil: Revelations, I beat its main game so much I got sick of it, so I decided to play Raid mode to keep playing it, which has RPG elements, and I don't like RPG shit, but I played it just to keep play Rev1, well, that lowered my standards and made me play a Jojo RPG fan game afterwards (7th Stand User I think), and then a few years later, fact that I played that fan game is what made me play Persona 3 at all too lol.
So yeah, guess if I find something that annoys me for long enough, it'll lower my standards and I'll manage to put up with BND, not that I want that to happen
.
Huh, only remember the pheromone stuff being done on men, but then again I didn't check Daken's stuff much.
