Well this is shaping up to be quite an offseason

Edit: Also this has to be the most epic failure of any attempted superteam... well since the last time the Nets tried it

The Timberwolves have traded Patrick Beverley, Malik Beasley, Walker Kessler, Jarred Vanderbilt and several first round picks to the Jazz for Rudy Gobert

The Timberwolves look good on paper.

So Gobert was worth 5 1st round draft picks including the one they just made a few days ago, imagine what Durant's price is going to be

I am enjoying all the talking heads who assured us that no matter their personal failings, KD and Kyrie would show up and play great ball are now telling us how it was always a sh*t show that was doomed to fail.
KD largely did, but it wasn't enough.
Kyrie is toxic, not because he is a whackadoddle off the court, but because you can't rely on him to show up and play great ball.
There came a time when the Old Gods died! The Brave died with the Cunning! The Noble perished locked in battle with unleashed Evil! It was the last day for them! An ancient era was passing in fiery holocaust!

Kyrie just need to go away. He wont though.

I really hope the Lakers go after Kyrie just to watch that team fall apart more. I dont know why in the world Lebron would ever want to go around Kyrie again.

Lebron was embarrassed at having missed the playoffs and is desperate for one last championship run. If he thinks Kyrie can help him get there, then King James will roll the dice.

Yah I expect the Lakers to make a run at anyone and everyone who they think can help them win. And Kyrie on that team makes a ton of sense. He only really ever gelled while he was playing in LeBron's long shadow.

Plus it's always nice to have a scapegoat on the roster for people to blame other than LeBron if things don't go the way they want them to. There's only so many times the coach can take the fall for underperformance.

But then Kyrie left Cleveland on the first thing smoking because he couldn’t handle being Robin to Lebron’s Batman. And Irving is a hell of a lot less stable today than he was back then. I seriously doubt such a reunion will work.

As risky as Kyrie is it may be the only legitimate way of getting rid of Russel Westbrook and hell the word is it might come with Seth Curry too, which fixes the Laker's biggest problem(lack of shooting) instantly on paper at least

Yah, which do you choose - Westbrook or Kyrie - if you have to choose one. Personally I'd go with Kyrie.

Hadn't heard of the potential for Seth Curry to come along. That makes it a no brainer, to me.
