That partnership is doomed, plain and simple. Sure, it’s no secret Luka’s needed a reliable wingman after past failures with the likes of Kristaps Porzingis and Jalen Brunson, but Kyrie ain’t that solution. Kyrie will behave for awhile, but will eventually go nuclear, just like he had in Cleveland, Boston and Brooklyn, leaving flaming wreckage in his wake like Godzilla after a visit to Tokyo. If Mark Cuban can’t see that, then he’s a fool.

Guess I can't watch Dallas for now. When do the Dallas Wings play???

Man -- I'm so thankful the Lakers dodged this bullet. I don't understand why my fellow Laker fans are lamenting not getting Kyrie. He's a good player but so obviously not worth it. Let someone else have all that drama. And DO NOT sign him as a free agent next summer!

And why would Kyrie want to reunite with Lebron anyway? It's been said the reason he left Cleveland years ago was because he didn't want to be Robin to Lebron's Batman.

Maybe being Robin to an older Batman has more appeal? But seriously, Kyrie wants to do Kyrie. Thank goodness he's doing it somewhere other than on my squad.

You mean Kyrie as Carrie Kelley to Lebron’s senior citizen Batman from The Dark Knight Returns? Nahhhh, I don’t see that either.

Hah! I was more thinking Earth-2 Robin

I imagine the Lakers will feed LeBron tonight till he passes Kareem. I also imagine Bron will top 40,000 points next season. Never say never, but I seriously can't imagine anyone playing at as high a level as him for 20+ seasons.

Lebron is 8 points away on the 3rd quarter it’s looking like it happens tonight

Edit 2 points now still in the third, only a question of when not if now

And there it is, Lebron James is now the all time leading scorer in NBA history

And they stopped the game for the ceremony. And I think he said ”Fuck, thank you all"

Somewhere conservatives will have something else to melt down over. Anger that Lebron James is now the all-time leading scorer in NBA history.

The only question now is just how far out of reach will the record be by the time Lebron finishes adding to it

Nahhhhhh! Right wingers don't care what black athletes do. Most of them probably couldn't pick Lebron James out of a police lineup, even if he was the only one in it.

Wow, big accomplishment I never thought I would see that beaten. I make fun of him from time to time but this really speaks a lot to LeBron's longevity, endurance and skill. Three years earlier than Kareem.

Has anyone called him? Is he ok?

What do you mean? Kareem was at the game and congratulated Lebron in person.

Good! I missed the game obviously, just heard rumors I guess that he had been grumbling. Glad to hear it was not the case.
