I don't understand the second round. Why are the Heat (8) playing the Knicks (5) and they are matching up the #2 and #3 Celtics and 76ers. Shouldn't top play bottom?
    In the West it could be a #1 and #4 , and a #6 and #7.

Just how bracketing works, the vast vast majority of the time it ensures the 1 seed doesn’t have to play the 2nd or 3rd seed until the conference finals

SAC can hold they head high. Fox is a bull, Sabonis kind of shrank but you gotta understand this is WAY new territory for him. Up to and including being in the West. Coach of the year. Need another piece but the future is bright, bright.

Curry out here lookin at 50! Game 7 for the books. Looney was huge. They Champions, bring on the Lake show.
Beefing up the old home security, huh?
    You bet yer ass.

That was such a weird game from Curry, yeah he had 50, but he took 38 shots to get it, the rebounding, particularly the offensive rebounding spree the Warriors went on in the third quarter is what really decided the game. Also it looked like Fox's broken finger was really affecting his shot.

The Suns have as shallow a roster I've ever seen, you're just not going far with a 4 man rotation. They need an offseason to replace the bench they traded for KD.

Also Harden just scored a huge upset for the sixers with a 45 point game stealing game 1 with Embiid sitting, first time he's looked like Harden in a few years.

Yes I agree that rebounds were key, and Looney stepped up large by creating second and third opportunities. The Lakers are going to have to find a way to prevent that from happening and winning the rebound battle, to have a shot at the conference finals.

Well as we saw tonight the Lakers have a weapon the Kings just didn't, and that weapon is Anthony Davis, who continues just completely owning the paint with a 30 point 23 rebound game with Lebron adding 11 more boards. But man if Davis continues the pace he's on he will completely rewrite the narrative around him, because even when he isn't scoring a bunch(and given the Warriors simply don't have a counter to him, Loony is too slow and Green is too short, I don't think he'll have that problem in this series) he has simply been the best defensive player in these playoffs by a mile, the Warriors didn't even want to challenge him by the 4th quarter.

Well this one isn't without merit. He pretty much psyched that entire Lakers team up over dissing Lebron James. I mean I get being confident and saying , your gonna play him hard and believe in your abilities. But then there is going out and completely trashing a legendary player saying he's old and not good anymore. Like...WTF ?

Well Fox was doing pretty good for the Kings until he got injured. Davis will be as unstoppable as Durant was during his best years, as long as his headspace is good. He does have off games. If you are the Lakers, do you really want everything to hinge on one guy? Sure the Warriors can't counter him if he is on, but they can outscore him. The Warriors have 3-4 guys who can bring it every night. They almost came back until Poole decided to take a shot with 8 seconds left from 60,000 miles away in outer space.

But we'll see how game 2 shakes out. This was a great win for the Lakers but I wouldn't say its decisive for how the series is going to go.

No surprise there. Dillon Brooks was a living example of that old adage: “Better to remain silent and be thought of as a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt”. He poked the bear that was Lebron and was promptly eaten, Brooks wanted 40, he got it after the Grizzlies were mauled by that amount in the series ending game six. Brooks acted the fool, writing checks with his mouth that Memphis couldn’t cash and they decided they were done with him.

The Bucks canned Mike Budenholzer yesterday, despite having the best record in the league this season and only two seasons removed from winning a championship. At present, rumor has it that Nick Nurse, fired by Toronto after the season ended is the betting favorite to land the Milwaukee job.

Surreal. Yes, the Bucks couldn't hold serve against the Heat and a 4-1 loss is embarrassing, but this seems like an overreaction to me.

Games can change, but right now Butler looks like too much for the Knicks to handle.

Later that day; it won't go 7.

The Knicks are what they were, a very good team with a good coach that needs a top Max player to make them great.
