The marketing of the covers might not line up with the content, but I imagine Marvel will put the art to good use the next few years.

X-Men Gold sold well so this doesn't surprise me at all.

That's what I should have done, because #3 was one of the few comics that made me wish Comixology had a refund option.

Aye, have cancelled my sub now. The opening episodes seemed intriguing but it turned into a load of bollocks quickly.

Basically whatever the main X Book (Usually X-Men or an event book) always sell well. Even the critically panned runs tend to sell well. Even the second major X-team books sell well too.

I don't really care too much for this event and I definitely didn't expect it to be some deep dive into the Magnus family. That being said I'm still very much disappointed in the characterization of Magneto's family so far. I guess it's just too easy to write an emotionally unstable Magneto.

The sad part about it is that has all the makings of a really good story for not only Mags but Wanda, Pietro, and Lorna. This was an opportunity to have these characters who've barely interacted through the decades and write some really good interactions between the whole Magnus tribe. And instead we've got Mags being overly obbessed with Wanda and him trash talking Lorna every chance he gets. Can we go back to the Hickman characterization of the relationship please? I really hope these interactions don't stick into cannon because we were finally making some progress away from the "Magneto is an abusive parent" personality.

All of that to say this event will end how these things usually go with a rushed ending that the majority will find unsatisfying. The only thing I can hope for is that Wanda and Pietro end up becoming mutants after this again.
