Default If nationalism isn't unique, must capitalism hate nations, as capitalism is?

If nationalism can't be unique, must capitalism hate nationalism, as capitalism is about uniqueness?

Faulty tautology with a false premise.
There came a time when the Old Gods died! The Brave died with the Cunning! The Noble perished locked in battle with unleashed Evil! It was the last day for them! An ancient era was passing in fiery holocaust!

Is capitalism actually about uniqueness? But yeah, Kirby101's statement completely sums it up.

Capitalism is about being a seller, and a distinct seller

That's an extremely reductive description of capitalism.

The original inspiration of the thread is the war between symmetry and contrast, which is how I created the question

    No, it really isn't.

    Don't "sellers" need "buyers"?

Are you saying that if the answer is yes, then buyers adds symmetry to capitalism's side, thus, capitalism and nationalism are in the same boat?

No it doesn't, it is about supplying a product for which there is demand. There can be many vegetable carts on the street and most can stay in business.

There seems to be some missing context to the argument.

It assumes a premise that isn't established, that capitalism prizes uniqueness, that nationalism is contrary to that form of uniqueness and that nationalism is so contrary it is irreconcilable.

The general assumption would be that these are degrees of capitalism and nationalism, and that these are separate categories, so we can have capitalist nationalists, capitalist globalists, socialist nationalists (uh oh) and socialists who want a one-world government.

The OP really needs to get and use this book called a "dictionary" so they can discover the actual meanings of words.

Lot of nonsense threads lately. Think it's a step up from the Barney ones? Still, meh.

I used an algebraic system, to deduce the question:

Nation = there is more than one, therefore not unique

Capitalism = the principle of selling oneself, therefore being unique, therefore selling uniqueness
